Renea Myers, 63, of Pansey, Alabama, was born on December 16, 1962, and passed away peacefully at her home on January 9, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Renea was born to her parents, Floyd Mason and Virginia Perkins. She was a graduate of Houston County Schools.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 20 years, John Myers; her children Derick Creekmore (Elizabeth), Kelly Harrison, Isaiah Myers, and Kate Holley; and her cherished grandchildren Tenley and Blakelynn Creekmore, Harrison Brown, Jeremiah and Gabriel Myers, Kye, Aiden, Emma, and Norah Lynn Holley. She is also survived by her siblings Sharon Stevens, Bobby Willis, James Willis, and Lynnette Mason.
Renea was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Doris; and her precious granddaughter, Kennedie Brown—who was waiting with open arms.
Throughout her life, Renea held many jobs, but her true calling was caring for others. She helped raise many children over the years and was in the process of obtaining custody of her granddaughters before her diagnosis. For over ten years, she faithfully served at Watermark Preschool, where she consistently loved and nurtured every child who walked through the doors. Her kindness left a lasting impact on countless families.
Renea will be remembered for her warm smile, her giving heart, and her loud, joyful laugh that could be heard for miles. She loved deeply, lived selflessly, and leaves behind a legacy of compassion that will continue through all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Celebration of life will be Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Watermark church in Ashford, Alabama.
DOTHAN: 7:45 PM Dothan 911 dispatched a burglary in progress on Deborah Street off South Park. Within 1 minute of the call Dothan Police Patrol was on the scene and in a foot pursuit.
It is under control becase they have cancelled the additional responding units. The outcome is unknown but posting because several Dothan Police Patrol rapid response and in the area.

Today there have been 3 accidents on West Main Street from First Assembly west to Brannon Stand. Two with injuries, one in front of 1st Assembly, one at Grove Park. One without injuries near Brannon Stand.
Ashford Rescue had a medical emergency earlier, with CPR in progress. Dothan Fire was mutual aided with advanced life support.
Headland Fire, Kinsey Fire, Aabama Forrestry had a large outdoor fire on Henry County Road 99 today.
DALE COUNTY: Ozark-Dale County 911 dispatched Dale County Sheriff Deputies and other emergency responders to a motor vehicle accident with injuries, roll over vehicle.
The location is Dale County Road 36 and Dale County Road 38. The extent of injuries are unknown.

WIREGRASS: We are fortunate in this area of the State of Alabama they we have a great – not a good – a great Legislative Delegation. And they will be leaving tomorrow sometime to go to Montgomery to begin the 2026 Alabama Legislative Session.

Rhett Marques is also a State Representative but not seeking re-election to Alabama House but seeking election to U.S. Senate or House.

The Alabama Legislature meets for 30 days, normally in session on Tuesday and Thursday with committee meetings on Wednesday’s. If you have ever been it can be wild. There are 105 members of the Alabama House of Representatives and 35 in the Alabama Senate.
