TAYLOR: 6:00 PM Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb and members of the Taylor City Council held their regular scheduled meeting. The meeting went rather fast.
The Mayor and Council gave a one time cost of living bonus of $ 250 for part time and $ 500 for full time employees. Mayor Lamb said the Water Department, on Fridays after lunch everything dies down and asked about the staff closing at noon. Councilman Thompson and Milner expressed feelings against closing but suggested a rotating schedule on cutting down on the staff. History reflects about 37 transactions the entire day. The decision is to rotate staff on Friday afternoons.
Following the meeting Councilman Milner asked for an Executive Session to discuss pending legal matters. The council said there would be no action taken following the Executive Session.
The pending legal matter is the termination of Taylor Police Chief James Brazier by Mayor Robert Lamb. The termination took place 45 minutes after the oath of office was given to Robert Lamb as Mayor. When Lamb terminated Chief Brazier he had Prosecutor Gary Maxwell and Taylor Magistrate Ann Baxter were in the room with Lamb when he terminated Chief Brazier.
Former Taylor Police Officer Tim Miller was at the swearing in and did not leave until 10:45 AM the day of the swearing in and termination of Chief Brazier. Miller is reported to have made statements he went to watch Chief Brazier be terminated.
The council opened a envelope when they came in and sit down. According to information the City Clerk, who just resigned, wrote all of the council members a letter or it was a letter from Chief Brazier. There was no mention of the letter, however, RSN knows they opened the letter. The City Clerk was working for the transition but got fed up with things left.
Also Chief James Brazier employed Attorney Jim Parkman who wrote the City of Taylor a letter about the termination of Brazier. Attorney Stephen Etheredge responded to Attorney Jim Parkman. There has been no public discussion. The City Council has never voted to terminate Chief James Brazier and they have never named a Interim Police Chief. And by law the Mayor has to have the Town Council approval. There has been no official termination of Chief Brazier so all of this time since the Mayor’s actions might cost the City of Taylor aa lot of back pay plus,
A barricaded suspect incident near the intersection of East Clendinen Street and Columbia Road was safely resolved, according to Sheriff Eric Blankenship.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, along with the Abbeville Police Department, responded to the scene. Authorities confirmed the situation was contained to a single residence.
As a precaution due to the close proximity, Abbeville Elementary School was placed on lockdown. Officials emphasized there was no threat to students or staff during the incident.
Update: Authorities have confirmed the suspect is now in custody. All schools have been taken off lockdown, and no injuries were reported.
Officials say additional information will be released if necessary.

Abbeville Police went to arrest a subject on 11 warrants and in addition he had SORNA violation. ( SORNA – Sex Offender Registration and Notification ). The subject ran inside the house. Multiple law enforcement officers surrounded the house. The SRT unit was dispatched. In the meantime Dothan Police was mutual aid for an apprehension dog. Rather than gassing the house law enforcement placed the apprehension K-9 in the attic. Well – the dog got his bite! And the suspect realized, OOPS!!!! it would have been less painful to give up that this K-9 apprehended.
Enterprise Police are actively searching for a suspect following a deadly shooting Wednesday night that stemmed from a reported domestic dispute.
Officers were called to the 400 block of West Watts Street around 7:30 p.m. After arriving on scene, police found 29-year-old Jimvonte Leonard Critten suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Enterprise Police Department, the suspect has been identified as Jumirrus Malik Flowers, who remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Flowers is wanted on one count of murder.
Authorities have not released additional details as the investigation remains ongoing.

DOTHAN: 08:26 AM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire Engine 1 ( Central ), Dothan Fire Engine 5 ( Eastside ), Dothan Fire Engine 9 ( Technology ), Dothan Truck 3 ( Whatley Drive ), Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Police to a structure fire, 1350 Columbia Highway, Integrated Power Service. Reports to Dothan 911 flames and smoke from smoke stack.
On arrival smoke was coming from the smoke stack. The primary engine company advised all incoming fire engines go to Level 1 Staging – which means be prepared to connect to a water source and begin an offensive attack – but wait.
All employees had evacuated the structure. Dothan Fire investigated. The ladder truck company arrived and fireman were awaiting decision if needed to enter from roof to make sure no fire in overhead.
Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Harrison was in command of the scene. Dothan Fire Deputy Chief David Hasty and Pete Webb are on the scene.
There is no structure fire.
08:44 AM Dothan Fire Engine 5 and Engine 9 released from the scene to return to service.
08:42 AM Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Harrison had the truck company come to the westside of the building to look at the roof.
DOTHAN: 07:57 AM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire Engine Company 4 ( Southside ), Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Police to a motor vehicle accident with injuries, Cottonwood Road and Forrester Road.
On arrival emergency units found a Volvo and Dump Truck. The Volvo had major damage and the dump truck did require a wrecker.
Pilcher Ambulance transported patients to a local hospital. The patients were ambulatory on arrival of emergency units. Injuries are not life threatening.
Dothan Police is in charge of the accident investigation. Traffic Division Commander Lt. Jason Adkins was on the scene.
DOTHAN: 9:07 PM Dothan 911 dispatched multiple Dothan Fire Engine Companies, Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Police to reports of a structure fire located at 505 S. Iroquois Avenue. This street runs off Fortner Street just west of Woodland.
At the time of dispatch the responding fire engine companies were advised flames from fuse box, resident refused to evacuate due to animals.
9:07 PM Call hits 911 and emergency units dispatched.
9:11 PM Fire Engine Company 10 ( West Main ) arrives on the scene. Reports a single story residential structure, no smoke or flames visible. Instructs all incoming fire engines go to Level 1 staging.
9:12 PM Truck 1 ( Central ) arrived on the scene. Fire Engine Company 2 ( Lakewood ) arrives on the scene. Battalion Chief Jack Woods arrives on the scene.
9:13 PM Fire Engine Company 1 ( Central ) arrives on the scene. Pilcher Ambulance arrives on the scene.
9:15 PM Battalion Chief Jack Woods has had a face to face with Engine 10, fire in electrical panel, attempting disconnect from outside. Dispatch Dothan Utilities. Rehab Truck ( Lakewood) on scene.
9:16 PM Primary search of inside, all clear, non one inside the residence. Interior crew asks for dry can and a fan at the front door.
9:20 PM Battalion Chief Jack Woods reports utilities disconnected from outside, still request Dothan Utilities respond. Scene under control, all fire engine companies, Rehab, Pilcher Ambulance can return to service. Dothan Fire Engine Company 10 ( West Main ) and Truck 1 ( Central ) can handle.
9:20 PM Fire Engine Companies begin to return to service.
9:23 PM Nothing to do with this call but 9:23 PM Dothan Fire Engine 9 ( Technology Drive ) off to an assault call on Maplecliff Drive. Suspect struck victim with a baseball bat.
