Dothan Fire is responding to a report of a T-bone wreck at Columbia Highway and Beverlye Road.
Injuries are currently unclear.
Expect significant delays in the area. At least the westbound lane of Columbia Highway is closed.
Two patients were reportedly transported to Southeast Health.
DOTHAN: The Dothan Utilities outage map reports 1,200 people out of power in Dothan. A lot of downtown Dothan is without power.
The cause is currently unknown.
UPDATE: Dothan Utilities said they had to open up a circuit for emergency repairs. An estimated fix time is currently not available. Crews are working on the issue now.
Dothan Police officers are directing traffic for some affected lights around downtown Dothan.
UPDATE: Some reports indicate power services are beginning to be restored.

MIDLAND CITY: 08:09 AM Ozark – Dale County 911 dispatched a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle, Highway 231 near Alpha Street (Dale County Road 75) in Midland City. This is north of Dale County Road 10 intersection with Highway 231.
On the scene, Midland City Volunteer Fire, ECHO Fire – Rescue, Midland City Police, ALEA – Troopers, Dale County Sheriff Deputies.
The northbound lane of Highway 231 was closed.
Midland City Police Chief has requested ALEA – Troopers Traffic Homicide unit and ALEA – SBI to respond.
This is a fatality. The person was on a bicycle and has been here for an extended period of time. The person has no identification on him. There person was off the roadway towards the ditch. No one stopped after striking the subject.

Dale County Coroner John Cawley has been called to the scene. Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum is on the scene.

The deceased’s family has been notified. Authorities have not released his name at this time. The body was found this morning by a person riding a bicycle this morning.
The accident happened sometime after 8:30 PM last evening. Anyone with information please call 334-774-5111, Ozark – Dale County 911 for Midland City Police.

The victim as 53-year-old Troy L. Williams of Midland City. He was 53 years old. He’s being sent for an autopsy.
ASHFORD: Tonight at 6:00 PM Ashford Mayor Carole Barfield and members of the Ashford City Council will meet in their regular scheduled meeting. We have reviewed the agenda and some items which were tabled last meeting are not on this agenda. And they were tabled until the next meeting.
GUESS WHAT? Tonight is the next regular scheduled meeting so the item(s) should be on the agenda. That is “IF” the Mayor is going to do what is right.
The City of Ashford has a growing youth program. The Rec Director is Jeff Speed. While there are around 170 youth involved the Rec Director has been apparently negligent in the performance of some of his duties. Some required duties of the Rec Director, Jeff Speed is not been “speeding” in the performance of his duties. In fact, he has been negligent in the performance of his required duties based on information that I have received. And he has not fulfilled some of his promises made.
The City of Ashford Town Council has attempted to draft policies to build a foundation of safety, fairness and integrity. The lack of due diligence and negligence in fulfilling some of the those required duties has some upset with the job performance of Rec Director Jeff Speed. And the enforcement of Mr. Speed’s job performance rest solely in the lap of Ashford Mayor Carole Barfield.
This failure to complete required tasks and overall management is not due to clerical negligence, but the negligence of the Rec. Director and Mayor Management.
There is to be accountability, transparency, child safety, and no excuses are to be made. Ashford Rec Director needs termination and Ashford Mayor needs to make sure duties are performed.
All policies have exceptions. But some have no exceptions in maintaining proper information which is accurate. And in today’s world that is important.

Mercy. A frog-strangler of a downpour blew through the Wiregrass just before dawn, and more rains will roll in before the day is done. Then tonight, strong northerly winds will push down temperatures into the 40s, so we are not done with the chilly weather yet.
Monday will be rainy early with rains likely to move out by late afternoon. The temperatures are moving down. Before dawn we were at 70 degrees, by afternoon temps are expected to fall into the 50s, and look for a cold night, with lows maybe at 40 degrees and a brisk northerly wind.
That cooler air will settle into south Alabama, and stick around a couple of days. The clouds should clear giving us sunshine on Tuesday and Wednesday, but both will be cool days, with highs only around 68, and lows in the mid 40s.
There should be some warming by weekend but it will be next week before temperatures top 80 degrees again.
