PANSEY: 10:49 AM Houston County 911 has dispatched multiple volunteer fire departments to a structure fire at 32 Veronica Drive in Pansey. Reports to Houston County 911, fully involved, and a person is attempting to extinguish with a water hose.

10:55 AM Houston County Sheriff Deputy arrived and reported possibly an abandoned trailer.

11:00 AM Pansey Fireman reported per owner he requests no water on fire unless it gets away. Two Pansey Volunteer Fireman are on the scene. All responding units can downgrade.

11:19 AM Cottonwood Rescue has transported one person, non emergency, to Southeast Health. ALEA Trooper on the scene.
The Daleville Department of Public Safety is warning residents about a scam circulating in the area involving the payment platform Cash App.
According to officials, victims have reported receiving automated phone calls claiming there is an attempt to access their Cash App account. The recording instructs recipients to press “1” if they did not authorize the activity.
The caller then directs victims to enter a verification code sent by text message and ultimately asks for their Cash App PIN.
Authorities stress that Cash App will never call users to request their PIN. The company does not have access to users’ PIN numbers and does not require them to use the app.
Officials say if you receive a call asking for your Cash App PIN from someone claiming to represent the company, it is a scam. Residents are urged not to respond to prompts and to hang up immediately.
Legitimate communication from Cash App will come from an official 1-800 number.
Anyone who believes they may have fallen victim to this scam should contact local law enforcement immediately.
The City of Ashford is currently in the process of drilling a new well as part of a $1.6 million infrastructure improvement project designed to enhance water quality and increase long-term water capacity for our community.
During this transition, we are asking all residents and businesses to temporarily conserve water to help maintain system stability while the work is being completed.
Please limit non-essential water usage such as:
Lawn irrigation
Washing vehicles
Filling pools
Excessive outdoor water use
We appreciate everyone doing their part to support this important improvement project.
This conservation request will remain in effect until further notice.

A drive-in laser light show is headed to Dothan for one weekend only this March.
The event will take place at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds on March 27 and 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with gates opening at 5:00 p.m.
The touring show will feature vibrant laser lights and green screen visuals set to popular music. Attendees can enjoy the experience from the comfort of their vehicles or set up outside and tailgate with family and friends.
Organizers say the event is perfect for date night, family outings, or group hangouts.
After winning four consecutive state wrestling titles, Enterprise High School senior Mackenzie Schultz is now focused on an even bigger goal: the 2028 Olympic Games.
Schultz says her drive comes from her passion for the sport, calling wrestling more of a lifestyle than a hobby. Her coach, Billy Landry, says her intense work ethic and leadership set her apart, adding that she has become like an assistant coach to younger athletes.
In addition to wrestling, Schultz trains in judo and jiu-jitsu. She has competed internationally in judo, earning third-place finishes at the Pan American Games, Cadet Worlds, and Junior Pan competitions. She competes under 170 pounds in judo and 152 pounds in wrestling.
Training seven days a week, Schultz balances home workouts with travel practices, all while preparing for her next major event — the IBJJF Pan Championship in March.
As she finishes her final year as a Wildcat, Schultz says she’s proud to represent Enterprise on the world stage and is determined to qualify for the 2028 Olympics in judo.
