Joe McBride, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 11, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 69. Born on January 18, 1956, in Bainbridge, Georgia, Joe was a man of integrity, warmth, and dedication, known for his hardworking nature and generous spirit.
Joe grew up in the close-knit community of Bainbridge, where he attended Bainbridge High School, graduating with the class of 1974. His early years were filled with fond memories and the forging of lifelong friendships. After high school, Joe moved to Sylvester, Georgia, where he established his life and career.
For many years, Joe worked in commercial construction, specializing in the installation of tile and drop ceilings. His meticulous craftsmanship and reliable work ethic earned him respect and admiration within the industry. Joe’s colleagues knew him as a man who took great pride in his work, and his contributions to numerous construction projects left a lasting impact on the communities he served.
Joe’s life was enriched by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted son, Joel McBride, and daughter-in-law, Megan; his caring daughter, Kristian Thompson; and his adored grandchild, Brayden McBride. He is also survived by his sisters, Geneva Cason and Mary Dollar (Larry), who will fondly remember Joe’s unwavering support and the deep bond they shared. Joe will be lovingly remembered by his niece, Jennifer Tucker and her husband, Lance, and his nephew, Christopher Cleveland and his wife, Amber. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Luner McBride, whose values and love shaped him into the remarkable man he became.
Throughout his life, Joe was a beacon of strength and love for his family. He instilled in his children the importance of hard work, kindness, and the value of family. His legacy will live on through the lessons he taught, the stories he shared, and the memories cherished by all who knew him.
Joe’s absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His laughter, wisdom, and gentle nature will be missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those he left behind. Johnny Earl Eubanks, Jr., known for his work ethic, infectious humor, and Labrador-like energy, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Cottonwood, Alabama, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 23, 1949, in Louisiana, Johnny’s life was one of dedication, service, and constant motion.
Johnny proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, bravely participating in the Vietnam War. The discipline and brotherhood he found in the Marines stayed with him always. After his military service, he spent his life being an auto mechanic and a truck driver, known for his reliability and ever-present smile on the open road and at home.
Even after retirement and facing disability, Johnny never slowed down in spirit. Raised with a love for the outdoors in Louisiana, he carried that appreciation wherever life took him, from New Jersey to Florida, and finally to Alabama, always wanting to be near his children and grandchildren.
Johnny was the devoted husband of Deborah Eubanks, whose love was the foundation of his happiness. Together they raised two sons who meant the world to him: Steven Eubanks (Megan), Kevin Eubanks. He had five more children that he loved deeply, Francine Eubanks, Ella Eubanks, Jonathon Mace, Lisa Gaylon (Jan), and Dorothy Haas.
He was the proud and playful “Grandpa” to his grandchildren: Jayden Tran, Payton Eubanks, Troy Howes, Kaiela Payne, Allyssa Bechard Jonathon Mace Jr, Anthony Miller, and Reid Haas, as well as several cherished great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings James Eubanks (Carmen), Doug Eubanks (Nancy), Patty Cervini (Steve), Otis Eubanks.
To his children, Johnny was far more than a father, he was a reckoning, a compass in dark times, and a solace when chaos threatened to take hold. With his sarcastic approach to life’s heaviest moments and his stubborn insistence on fun, he taught them how to face fear, how to laugh through pain, and how to choose love over bitterness. Johnny was mix of tough love, wicked humor, and unshakable devotion is the legacy he leaves in every heart he shaped.
Johnny never met a stranger. He was a true social man whose warm presence and quick wit made every gathering brighter. His legacy is one of hard work, fierce love for his family, and the gift of laughter that lifted everyone around him. Though he will be deeply missed, his stories, his jokes, and his unbreakable Marine spirit will live on in all who were fortunate to know and love him.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home. The chapel service will begin at 11:00 a.m., with military honors to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
James William Hendrix, of Slocomb, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at his home encircled by his loving family. He was 69.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Place of Grace Church in Slocomb with Pastor Wendell Holmes officiating.

Mr. Hendrix was born on September 15, 1956 in Slocomb, Alabama to the late Alvie and Elma Hendrix and was one of three children. James and his beloved sweetheart, Diondela, met through mutual friends and were married for 19 years. He had a career with Acme Roofing and Sheet metal for over 20 years. Together with his wife, they were co-founder of Double H Beef. One of James greatest enjoyment was spending time with his wife and family at the farm. James will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, and love for his family.
In addition to his parents; son, Tyler Hendrix; daughter, Nancy Hendrix (Darty); brothers: Gerald Hendrix, Amzy Gene Hendrix; and niece, Bobby Jean Hendrix all preceded him in death.
James leaves behind a large family including his wife, Diondela Hendrix; daughters: Jamie Hamm, Emily Dudenski; sons: Scotty Hendrix (Sammi White), Colby Hendrix (Amber Hooks), Austin Hughes (Jessica), Damian Crutchfield, and Dylan Hendrix; twenty-five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Debra Hendrix; niece, Ashlea Hendrix; nephew, Adam Hendrix; one great niece; four great nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Ryder James Blythers, a beacon of joy and love, passed away on December 11, 2025, in Geneva, Alabama. Born on July 14, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama, to the proud parents Macy Turner and De’Vonta Blythers, Ryder’s time on earth was brief, yet his impact was profound and enduring.
In his five months of life, Ryder’s infectious laughter and radiant smile brought immeasurable joy and light to all who were blessed to be in his presence. He was the embodiment of love and happiness, touching the hearts of everyone he met. His ability to spread cheer was a testament to the loving and nurturing environment provided by his devoted family.
Ryder is lovingly remembered by his adoring mother and father, Macy and De’Vonta; his maternal grandparents, Mike and Tiffany Turner; his paternal grandparents, Bobbi Blythers, Corey and Benita Blythers; and his great grandparents, Karen and George Faas, and Richard and Luann Hawthorne. He will also be deeply missed by his aunts and uncles, Mikala Smith (Tyler), Cole Turner (Ashley), Jake Turner, Jay Fussell (Hubert), Destynie Blythers, and Cortnie Blythers, as well as his cousins, Rylee and Reese Smith, Xzavier Fussell, and Kylrina Campbell, who all cherished the moments they shared with him.
Ryder was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Roy and Helen Creech, and paternal great great grandparents, Alice Chidsey and Nellie Carter.
Although his life was a brief gift to us all, the love he gave and received will forever be treasured. Ryder’s family takes comfort in knowing that he is now cradled in the arms of angels and that his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Geneva with Rev. Steve Skidmore and Rev. Zachary Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday beginning at 12:30 p.m.

James Randall Cobb, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Cottonwood, at the age of 75. Born on November 6, 1950, in Cowarts, Randall was a man whose life was marked by dedication, service, and the love he had for his family and country.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin Cobb and Annie Lee Mills Cobb, and his sister, Margaret Cobb. He leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment, survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Joy Cobb; his children, Garrett Cobb and his wife Kelly, Brandon, and Julie Hughes and her husband Brian; his cherished grandchildren, Hunter, Christopher, Hannah, Jonathan, and Jenna; his sister, Delene Cobb; his brother, Rex Cobb and his wife Debbie; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
A proud 1969 graduate of Ashford High School, Randall’s sense of duty led him to a distinguished 25-year career in the United States Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. His service to his country was recognized with numerous awards, including the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (4th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star. His unwavering commitment to his nation and fellow soldiers was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Beyond his military service, Randall was a man of many interests. He was a skilled woodworker, creating beautiful pieces that reflected his attention to detail and patience. A lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and NASCAR, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams and drivers, especially the legendary Dale Earnhart. Randall’s love for these pastimes was only surpassed by the joy he found in spending time with his family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Randall’ life.

Theresa Jane Andrews, a resident of Graceville, Florida and formerly Dothan, Alabama died Friday, December 12, 2025 at Graceville Health Center in Graceville, Florida. She was 72.
Theresa was born August 22, 1953 in Midland City, Alabama to the late T J and Betty Benton Glover. She was a Material Specialist for M1 at Ft Rucker and enjoyed working in her yards and being with family.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mason Andrews and two sisters, Beverly Wilson and Glenda Tager.
Survivors include two nephews, Jon Caldwell (Nikki) and Michael Caldwell; great nephews, Griffin, Trey, Zander and Kurt Caldwell; granddaughter Dawn Cave (Austin); grandson, Miguel Andrews; great grandchildren; Isabelle, Aubrey, Camden and Raylan; special friends and caretakers, Donna Beasley and Yoland Walker.
