COLUMBIA… Mark Hayward Lovett, 68, of Columbia, Alabama, went home to meet Jesus, November 10, 2025. He was born to the late W.H. (Bob) Lovett and Ouida Musgrove Lovett on October 7, 1957.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Columbia, Alabama. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Lovett was a lifelong resident of the Columbia, Alabama and Headland, Alabama areas. He was a graduate of Ashford Academy. He retired from Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant as an operator and an instructor, after thirty-nine years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Church at the Crossing in Dothan, Alabama.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of thirty-four years, Sandra Lovett; his two sons, Matthew Lovett (Arlene) and Michael Lovett (Lexus); his granddaughters, Adeline, Everly, Willow, and Ember Lovett, his sisters, Carole Goodson (Guy), Peggy Gaylor (Danny), and Donna Smith (Mike); his sisters-in-law, Wanda Austin (Rickey) Lana Burt (Neal); and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Ida Florence Mock Durden, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, November 9, 2025 at her residence. She was 78.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2 PM until 4 PM in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
Ida was born May 8, 1947 in Lantana, Palm Beach County, Florida to the late Raymond O. and R. Rosebud Gregory Mock and raised in Belle Glade, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents, middle sister, Mary Mock Jones and her husband Billy F. Jones; two special brothers in law, John Cochran and Edward Ostrowski.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Edward Durden; daughter, Tomma Durden Jones and her husband, Jamie; grandson, Blake Randall Webster; older sister, Margie Mock Cochran Ostrowski; sister by choice, Linda Motes Lee; family by choice, Randall and Joan Anderson; nephew, J. Michael Cochran, wife, Betty and his children, Tiffani Ealey, Lindsi Murphy, Taylor Cochran and Dakota Cochran; niece, Angela M. Cochran Rasor, husband, Jim Rasor and their children, Chris and Justin Rasor; niece, Jacqueline Jones Harris, husband, Wayne and family; special Durden families, Edwina and James Stokes, Sheila and Richard Williams; special friends, Ron and Tanya Churchwell and Louise Britto.

Ms. April Denise Sauls, a resident of Skipperville, died Friday, November 7, 2025. She was 51 years old. A memorial service for April will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Ms. Sauls was born April 17, 1974 in Ocoee, Florida to the late Arnice Douglas Sauls and Mavis Jean Linzey Sauls. She moved to Alabama in 2021. April is survived by two daughters, Tabitha Florence (Bobby) and Riley Bass; grandchildren, Addie, Robert (Ozey to his Grammy), Carson and Silas; one sister, Angel Johnson (Tony); nieces and nephews, Samantha Bass, Darren Bass and Casandra Johnson and Ryan Johnson (Kara); one great niece, Emma Beverett.
Christopher Taylor Adams entered into eternal rest November 8, 2025 after a brief illness.
He was affectionately known to those who loved him by his nickname “Booter”
Christopher was born to Mike and Laura Adams in 1991. He was a lifelong resident of Ashford, Alabama.
After his graduation from Ashford High School in 2009, he joined the family business as a carpenter. Chris enjoyed Alabama football and spending time with his family.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Mike Adams, grandparents, Bud and Annette Adams, and his grandfather, James Taylor.
Left to grieve his passing, is his mother, Laura Adams, brothers, Ben and Matt Adams, grandmother, Fay Taylor, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chris was a bright light who will be greatly missed.
There will be no services in accordance with Christopher’s wishes.
Robert Kenneth Baker, affectionately known as Pops, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama. He was 65 years old.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God in Clio, Alabama, with Rev. Randy Adams officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The burial will follow in the Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisville, Alabama. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted.
Kenneth was born on December 18, 1959, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Robert Winnon and Mildred Girdean Pippins Baker. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and worked for many years as a Produce Manager for Piggly Wiggly and Super Sav. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, antiques and always loved a “good deal”, but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. Kenneth was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kandice Leigh Price; sister, Kathleen Greene; father and mother-in-law, Foy Edward and Mary Alice Price; sisters-in-law, Leslie Lea Price and Amy Shores Price.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 44 years, Teresea Price Baker; son, Christopher Baker of Louisville; daughter, Crystal Sweeney (Will) of Louisville; three sisters, Shirley Glisson of Waverly Hall, Georgia, Judy McLaney (Darrell) of Ozark, Alabama, and Girdean Pate (Johnny) of Arlington, Texas; brothers-in-law, Tracy Price and Bobby Jo Greene; spoiled granddog, Chug; and several nieces and nephews.

Cathy West, known for her laughter, resilience, and kind heart, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on March 1, 1957, Cathy’s life was marked by dedication to others, a strong work ethic, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Cathy’s quick wit and sense of humor made her a joy to be around. She was a devoted mother, loyal friend, and valued member of her community. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica West, who was her greatest pride and joy. Their relationship was built on mutual love, respect, and unwavering support—a bond that will continue to shape Jessica’s life in lasting ways. She also leaves behind her dog, Daisy Mae.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anne Woodress.
For more than 30 years, Cathy served as a respiratory therapist, a profession that perfectly reflected her caring nature. Her commitment to helping others defined much of her life. After retiring in 2022, Cathy looked back on a career filled with compassion and dedication.
After moving to Dothan last year, Cathy found joy in her garden, tending to her flowers and vegetables with care and patience. Gardening became her quiet retreat, offering both peace and purpose. She also cherished her time at the beach—especially at her condo in Panama City Beach—where she enjoyed the calm of the ocean and the company of family and friends.
Cathy will be remembered for her selfless spirit and her steady kindness. She gave freely of herself, often putting the needs of others first, and she approached life with a mix of humor and grace that left a lasting mark on those who knew her.
As we remember Cathy, we celebrate a life that was full and meaningful. Her influence lives on in the people she cared for, the family she loved, and the many lives she touched along the way. Though she is no longer with us, her strength, warmth, and love will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
