Mrs. Cindy Marlene Wilkerson Butler, a resident of the Chalkhead Community, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Southeast Health Medical Center. She was 62 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Butler will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Jack Maxwell, Reverend Larry Sowell and Reverend Jamie Hattaway officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. A private interment will be at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
Mrs. Butler was born September 26, 1962 in Eustis, Florida to Dorothy Willene Paul Wilkerson and the late Levy Marrell Wilkerson. The family moved back to Ozark when Cindy was very young. She attended the Ozark City Schools and was employed as a private sitter at the age of 17. Cindy worked with Oakview Manor Nursing Facility in Ozark as a Nursing Assistant for several years and retired from Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center as the Activities Director after 36 years. Cindy was a member of Victory Holiness Church in Abbeville, Alabama where she enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was extremely crafty and enjoyed decorating and planning weddings. Cindy was very family oriented, she loved her family. She was an animal lover, especially cats.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Culley and Bruce Culley.
Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Keith Butler of Ewell; her mother, Dorothy Willene Paul Wilkerson of Ewell; her sister, Ann Sullivan (Bill) of Ozark; two brothers, Howard Culley (Debbie) of Taylor and Levy Wilkerson of Ozark; a special friend and co-worker at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation, Jennifer Richardson. A host of nieces and nephews that she treated as her own also survive. The family would like to thank the staff of Oakview Manor for their love and professionalism.

Myra Nell Enfinger Floyd, loving mother, mimi, sister , aunt, and friend passed away on April 3, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 70. Born on November 9, 1954, in Alabama, Myra’s life was a testament of the love, strength, and endurance that she showed to everyone she loved.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, J.T. Enfinger and Nancy Tolar Odom, her loving husband, James Kenneth Floyd, and her dear sister, Dorothy Holland. Her spirit, however, will continue to shine brightly through her family who remain to honor her legacy.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Valerie Sawyers, and her husband, Tim, who will forever cherish the memories and resilience Myra instilled in them. Her grandchildren, Amaris Somma and her husband Vinny, Bay-Leigh Brady and her husband Mason, and Chasilyn Brady and her husband Madison, will miss her guidance and unconditional support. Myra’s great-grandchildren, Ayvinn, Brynn, and Murphie, will grow up with stories of her kindness and the gentle touch of her love.
Myra’s sister, Gloria Jean Wallace (Billy – loving brother-in-law), will hold dear the memories and the unbreakable bond they formed throughout their lives. She is also survived by her beloved nephew, Jamie Snell (Cait), along with several other nieces and nephews.
Her fur babies, Chloe and Prissy, were a source of immense joy for Myra.
Myra loved her diet Coke and memtos – she was never without them. She had lifelong dear friends that she loved dearly. She was a giving. loving mama, mimi, aunt, sister, and friend. She retired from the Southeast Alabama Career Center as a Career Facilitator. She was deeply loved and will be missed dearly.
Mr. Robert Wilson “Bobby” Cooper, a resident of Dothan and formerly of Ozark, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old.
Funeral services for Mr. Cooper will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Harold Peters officiating. Private interment will be at a later date in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday from 1:00 P. M. until time for the service.
Mr. Cooper was born June 16, 1938 in Ariton, Alabama to the late Wilson Colvie Cooper and Marwood Weed Cooper. He was a devoted husband and father who had a humble heart. Bobby loved the outdoors and country music. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #349 in Ozark and received his fifty-year pin in March 2017. He was also a member of the Dothan Scottish Rite. Mr. Cooper met his wife Mary Willoughby on a blind date in 1958 and they were married in 1960. They lived in Ozark until 2016 when they moved to Dothan to be closer to their family. In the 1960’s Mr. Cooper worked with Walter Hand Ford and Dominy Chevrolet in Ozark. He was self-employed in the 1970’s with a trucking business. In 1980 he began working with various aircraft maintenance contractors at Fort Rucker, retiring in 2004.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Cooper Stokes.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mary G. Willoughby Cooper of Dothan; one son, Robert Daniel Cooper (Jana) of Ashford; one daughter, Gwen Cooper Smith (Mike) of Dothan; three grandchildren, Jessica Smith Welch (Matthew), Justin Smith (Mary Kate) and Marissa Smith; four great grandchildren, Amelia Welch, Anderson Smith, Landon Smith, Weston Welch and Marshall Smith (Baby on The Way).

EWELL COMMUNITY…It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dusty Aaron Smith Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of 44. Dusty was born on September 22, 1980, to Betty Sanders Smith and Ricky Smith.
Dusty was a loving son, brother, and father that could make anyone smile with his contagious humor. He had three children, D’Asia Kelley, Karly Smith, and Rayna Smith. He had one granddaughter, Mazey Forbes and a fiancé, Theresa Smith, who he loved endlessly.
Preceded in joining the Lord, his brother Terry Landrum, two uncles, O’Neil Sanders and Obie Sanders, two aunts, Estelle Langford and Dorothy Williams, and a cousin, Michelle Strickland.
He is survived by daughters, D’Asia Kelley, Karly Smith, and Rayna Smith; granddaughter, Mazey Forbes; mother and father, Betty Sanders Smith and Ricky Smith; fiancé, Theresa Smith; brothers, Jimmy Smith (Becky), Timmy Smith (Kim), and Randy Landrum (Pam); sister, Robin Rogers; aunt, Virginia Sanders, and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Barry Clark officiating. Mrs. Dorothy Mayo Bell, age 76, a resident of Dothan, died on Thursday April 3, 2025 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Troy West officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Bell was born on November 7, 1948 in Pansey the daughter of Ernest B. Kirkland and Ressie Lee Gore Kirkland. She lived in Pansey and Madrid communities in her early years before moving to Dothan. Dorothy loved listening to her Gospel music, search word puzzle books and especially loved her grandchildren. She was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Billy James Mayo; second husband, Luvon Bell; two brothers, Earl and Eddie Jo Kirkland; two sisters, Maxine Crooms and Vicky Jacobs.
Survivors include: two daughters, Dori K. Long (Timothy), Daleville; Lori Toth (John), Dothan; three grandchildren, Billy James Crowder, Eric James Jones and Tracy Renae Jones; two sisters, Glenda Nobles, Dothan; Janice Hollingshed, Cottonwood; two brothers, Roy Kirkland, Madrid; Ray Kirkland, Dothan; several nieces and nephews.

Lawrence L. Mobley, 91, of Dothan, AL and formerly of Brundidge, AL, died Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation Center.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Mobley will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.
Mr. Mobley is survived by his son, Ronny (Anna) Mobley; daughter, Lindy Wood; son, David Mobley; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Patrick) Coe, Kirk (Ellen) Mobley, Maureen (Jerrod) Bowman, Erin (Jared) Sellers, Keri Wood, Kristin (Taylor) Daughtry, and Caitlin, Jack, and Michael Mobley; his brother, Lloyd (Larvis) Mobley; his sister, Merle (James) Sanders; and his sisters-in-law, Nellie Mobley and Shirley Mobley; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
