Mrs. Griggs, daughter of the late Sampie Wyatt Lee and Minnie Drew Lee, was a proud native of Dale County, growing up near Newton in a close‑knit community that shaped her gentle spirit and strong values. She graduated from Dale County High School in Ozark in 1950, a time she often remembered with fondness and gratitude for the friendships and lessons that stayed with her throughout her life.
She built a long and steady career rooted in dedication and service. She retired from Production Credit, now First South Farm Credit, after twenty years of loyal employment as a secretary. Before that, she worked with Phillips Insurance Agency, Dale Medical Center, and Southeast Gas, all in Ozark. No matter where she worked, she was known for her kindness, her dependability, and the way she treated everyone with respect.
Her faith was a guiding part of her life. She was a devoted member of Ozark First Assembly of God Church, where she poured her heart into serving others. BRUNDIDGE…Mrs. Adrianna Shelia Cox Campbell, a resident of Brundidge, died Monday, February 16, 2026, in a Fort Walton Beach, Florida hospital. She was 60.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, February 23, 2026, in William Carter Cemetery in Goshen, with Brother Ashley Faulk officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Campbell, daughter of the late Sam Cargile Cox and Odessa Smart Norris, was a proud native of Elba. She grew up with a strong sense of family and community, and those early roots shaped the way she lived her entire life. She attended Zion Chapel High School, where she made friendships and memories that stayed with her through the years.
She was a hard‑working, creative woman who poured her energy into every venture she took on. Over the years, she owned and operated several thrift stores in the area, places where people didn’t just shop — they visited, talked, laughed, and felt welcome. She also ran auctions, bringing people together with her lively spirit and her natural ability to connect with anyone who walked through the door. She had an eye for treasures, a love for the stories behind them, and a knack for giving old things new life.
She loved jewelry — not just wearing it but finding pieces that sparkled with personality. She also loved to bake, especially cakes, and she enjoyed selling them to friends, neighbors, and anyone who knew how good they were. Baking was one of the ways she showed love, and she took pride in every cake that came out of her kitchen.
Her dogs, Lilly and Bentley, held a special place in her heart. They were her constant companions, her comfort, and her joy. She doted on them, and they adored her right back.
Some of her happiest moments were spent at the beach with family and friends. The sound of the waves, the warm sun, and the laughter of loved ones made those times especially meaningful to her. She also had a deep love for flowers — their colors, their beauty, and the way they brightened any space.
In her later years, she found a new passion: writing songs. It became one of her favorite hobbies, a creative outlet that allowed her to express her thoughts, memories, and feelings in a way that was uniquely her own.
Mrs. Campbell will be remembered for her warm heart, her creativity, her love for her family and pets, and the way she brought joy into the everyday moments of life. Her presence made the world a little brighter, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
