Attention Wiregrass Electric Members: Ballots Coming in September — Hartford’s Travis Williams Seeks Trustee Seat

Wiregrass Electric Cooperative members are being reminded to watch their mailboxes in September, when ballots for this year’s Board of Trustees election will be mailed directly to members. Voting is done entirely by mail, so members are encouraged to watch for their ballot, read it carefully, and return it promptly so it counts.

Among the candidates on this year’s ballot is Travis Williams, a Hartford resident running for a trustee seat.

Williams is the Director of Logistics for Greenbush Logistics, Inc., an asset-based freight management company affiliated with Great Southern Wood Preserving/YellaWood, where he oversees Sales, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety for a fleet of more than 400 trucks. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama and completed the High Potentials Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.

Williams is also active in the state and local community. He serves on the Alabama Trucking Association Board and the Alabama FFA Foundation Board of Directors, coaches youth sports in the community, and serves as President of the Geneva Athletics Booster Club.

“Wiregrass Electric belongs to its members,” Williams said. ” I care deeply about this community, and I want to put that commitment to work for the Board.”

“This is members’ chance to have a real say in who represents them,” Williams said. “I’d be honored to earn your vote, and I’d encourage every member to watch for that ballot and make their voice heard.”
