10:24 PM Sheriff Donald Valenza Makes Endorsements In Local Races
HOUSTON COUNTY: In a highly unusual move, Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza has endorsed two local candidates seeking election.
Sheriff Donald Valenza has made an endorsement of Kendall Glover for Houston County Coroner. Glover is dedicated, honest man who will serve with integrity, dedication, respect for the deceased and families that will have the unfortuante task of death. Law Enforcement works hand in hand wuth the Coroner on deaths that occur across the county.
Sheriff Donald Valenza has made an endorsement of Ashley Enfinger for Houston County Commissioner – District 3. For the past year Enfinger has attended every Houston County Commission Administrative Meeting and Regular Meeting of the County Commission. He has worked to learn county government and how it operates. Enfinger has joined the Houston County Sheriff Reserves to learn what law enforcement officers deal with. Sheriff Valenza believes that Ashley Enfinger has the character to serve the people of Houston County and be a wise steward of the taxpayer money.
Donald Valenza began with the Houston County Sheriff Department since 1977. He has risen through the ranks until becoing Sheriff. He has never publically endorsed anyone for elected office. But Sheriff Valenza feels these two deserve his endorsement.
10:16 PM Reports Are Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb Calling and Complaining To People Who Signed The Recall Petition
TAYLOR: Last evening a petition was served to each member of Taylor City Council and to the City Clerk. All on camera!
Absent from the meeting was Mayor Robert Lamb. While RSN had heard rumors, Mayor Pro Tem Kenny Thompson was informed of Mayor Lamb’s abscene at 5:53 PM for a 6:00 meeting. This mean tthe Mayor Pro Tem Thompson had to chair the meeting.
RSN does not know where Mayor Lamb resides. But some locals provided RSN with a picture of what was represented as Mayor Lamb’s vehicle parked at tthe woods behind his house. And the car was under the carport.
Today reports the Mayor Robert Lamb has called some people who signed the petition fussing at them for signing it.
The City of Taylor has a Mayor and five council members. The petition was signed by there sitting council members for a recall of the Mayor. It has been represented to me the petition has more signatures than what was required. After the petition was presented the City Clerk reported that she would contact Houston County Probate Judge Daveport for guidance.
Lamb has been Mayor since November 2025, which is five months. And he has created havok ever since taking office. He was sworn in at 8:00 AM and then terminated Taylor Police Chief James Brazier. Mayor Lamb has not followed the law and prceduers outlined in the Taylor Personnel Rules and Regulations. Reports are a female staff member recently quit after Mayor Lamb was yelling at her and cussed her out. There is a potential federal court complaint which could be made for a hostile work enviornment.
According to sources the City has 30 days following the petition to act. The next regular meeting is May 3rd. From last night to May 3 the council would have burned about half of the 30 days,
IN ANOTHER ISSUE … a truck was listed for sale. The council tabled the bids. Reports are Mayor Lamb sold the truck anyway. Working to confirm. Also the Court Magistrate and Mayor are spending court funds reported not to have been approved by the Council. Working on confirmation.

3:37 PM. Dothan Police Make Arrest In Weekend Murder
DOTHAN: Dothan Police Patrol Division responded to a residence, early Saturday morning, where a dead body was laying on the ground. In arrival Dothan Police were able to quickly determine this was a murder case.
Dothan Police Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators responded. The first issue was to identify the deceased. And then identify the murder suspect.
The deceased was identified quickly. The victim was 27 year old Rickie Tyrrell Temmis of Dothan. The victim had just buried his mother this past Thursday. She died from natural causes.
Then started the “who done it” investigation.
Dothan Police Criminal Investigators have worked around the clock. This morning an arrest was made of a 14 year old juvenile murder suspect. A 14 year old can be charged with murder and can be transferred to be tried as an adult. There is a process and the at the juvenile judge’s discretion the case can be transferred to District and Circuit Court and tried as an adult.
At this time Dothan Police can not identify the juvenile.
GREAT JOB to all involved. In 5 days the body identified, suspect identified and in custody.
