DOTHAN, Ala.) On April 7, 2026, the Dothan Police Department became aware of reports of a man engaging in inappropriate sex acts in front of victims in Dothan. An investigation immediately began in order to identify the person responsible. Witnesses described a small grey passenger car as the suspect vehicle. After reviewing various video surveillance sources and interviewing witnesses, it was determined the suspect was Adam Christopher Ash (37) of Dothan. A records check revealed Ash was a registered sex offender in Dothan.
While trying to locate Ash, investigators discovered Ash had changed jobs, addresses and went out of the city limits for an extended period of time without notifying the Dothan Police Department, as required by law. As a result of the investigation, Ash has been charged with four counts of felony Indecent Exposure and three counts for violating the Alabama Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). Ash is being held without bond.
On April 9, 2026, agents with the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force (ADETF), executed a search warrant in Gordon, Alabama, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Seized narcotics include approximately 160 grams of methamphetamine and two firearms.
As a result of the investigation, Jeffery Wayne Land (63) of Gordon was arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking (methamphetamine). Michael Armon Holton (53) of Gordon was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine). Tania Mae Carnley (45) of Marianna, Florida, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine).
The Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force (ADETF) is comprised of officers from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Eufaula Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Dale County Sheriff’s Office, Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Covington County Sheriff’s Office, Geneva Police Department, along with agents from the ALEA State Bureau of Investigation.
OZARK: 8:42 PM Ozark-Dale County 911 dispatched a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle, 1396 S. Highway 231 in Ozark. This location is near El Palicio in Ozark.
Ozark Fire – Rescue, Ozark Police and Dale County Sheriff Deputies dispatched. The north bound lanes of traffic are closed at this time.
Unknown the extent of injuries. Ozark Police is in charge of the accident investigation.
DOTHAN: 7:45 PM Dothan 911 dispatched a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at North Oates and West Main Street. Dothan Fire, Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance were dispatched.
Reports to Dothan 911 a silver Tahoe struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported by Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Fire to Southeast Health.
Dothan Police CRASH Team was dispatched to conduct the investigation.
