SKIPPERVILLE…Cody Alan Enfinger, a resident of Skipperville, died Thursday afternoon, May 28, 2026, in Dale Medical Center. He was 33.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Ozark First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brian Presley officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will follow in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the church.

Cody was born on December 3, 1992, in Ozark, Alabama, and grew up surrounded by the people and places that shaped him into the man he became. He graduated from G.W. Long High School in Skipperville in 2011, but even before walking across that stage, Cody had already chosen a path of service. He joined the United States Army while still in school and went on to serve his country for seven years, earning the rank of Sergeant. He carried a deep sense of pride in his service, and those who knew him understood how much it meant to him.

After completing his military career, Cody continued working in fields that required courage, skill, and a steady hand. He worked for both a cell phone tower company and a windmill tower company, installing and repairing towers that kept communities connected. It was demanding work, but Cody never shied away from a challenge. He approached every job with the same determination and grit that defined so much of his life.

Outside of work, Cody had a big heart and a wide range of interests. He loved listening to music, cheering on Alabama football, and spending time outdoors—whether he was hunting, fishing, climbing trees with his daughter, Bae, or simply enjoying the fresh air. He had a natural curiosity about the world and a genuine love for history. But more than anything, Cody loved being with his family. Time with them was what grounded him, and the moments he shared with his daughter were the ones he treasured most. She was the light of his life, and he carried that love with him every day.

Cody was preceded in death by his mother, Brandy Christa Phillips; his grandfather, Phillip Joseph Duncan; and his great‑grandparents, Daniel Franklin “Ponnie” Enfinger and Emily Lenora Brown Enfinger, Ernest “Hansell” Smith and Edna Smith, and Jeanette Tilley (Bobby). Their memories were woven into his life, and now his memory joins theirs—held close by all who loved him.

Surviving relatives include his daughter, Bae Elizabeth Enfinger; father, Ken Enfinger (Traci Valdez), Bertha Community; maternal grandmother, Stephanie Duncan, Skipperville; paternal grandparents, Dan and Reba Smith Enfinger, Echo Community; four sisters, Kayden Blevins, Troy, Kaylee Bracewell, Ozark, Kendra Enfinger, Dothan, and Isabell Vazton-Addams (Hazel), Las Vegas, Nevada; four brothers, Caleab Bracewell, Ozark, Dylan Enfinger, Echo Community, Corey Patton (Jennifer), Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Alexander Patton, Snowhill, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Aiden Demmer, Braylen James Bracewell, Elizabeth Patton, and Brynley Christa Bracewell; aunt, Emily Roberts (Rick), Echo Community; step-mother, Tracey Enfinger, Dothan; step-grandfather, Ronnie “Papa” Elmore, Echo Community; numerous cousins and friends.
