ADAM KENDALL KNOX

HEADLAND…Adam Kendall Knox, a resident of Headland, Alabama (formerly Dothan, AL), passed away on June 9, 2026. He was 40 years old. His battle with serious medical issues throughout his life showed his courage and faith in facing challenges with a peace that passed understanding.

A graveside service celebration of Adam’s life will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Enon Church of Christ in Webb, AL, with Dr. Cecil Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Adam was born on September 9, 1985, in Dothan, Alabama. He attended Dothan City Schools and is a 2004 graduate of Northview High School. In an answer to a call to Christian ministry, Adam attended Graceville Baptist Bible College. Due to his health issues, he was unable to complete his studies, but his ministry became about sharing the goodness of God with everyone he encountered. Adam was quick to ask, “May I pray with you?” Adam’s call to ministry was also about making people laugh. He loved bringing joy to others and talk radio shows like Rick and Bubba in the Morning. Jeanne Siglar brought his two dreams together when she gave him a spot on RAM radio in Headland, debuting Adam’s Comedy Corner, where his sign off was “Live Laugh Love”. Adam was a member of First Baptist Church Headland, where he joined the Overcomers Sunday School class. Adam will be remembered for his quick wit, his love for Auburn football, the Atlanta Braves, and NASCAR, his passion for making others laugh, and his unwavering faith.

Adam was preceded in death by his mother, Sherri Williams; his paternal grandparents, Ken and Jane Hall Knox; his maternal grandparents, Billy and Willie Pearl Williams; and his cousin Thomas ‘Tommy’ Godfrey.

Survivors left to cherish Adam’s memories include his father and stepmom, Ken and Kim Knox of Laurel, MS; his brother, Noah Knox of Laurel, MS; his aunts: Marion Knox Barker of Dadeville, Denise Williams Cameron (John) of Headland, and Valarie Savage of Ashford; his cousins: Joan Godfrey, Jonathan Godfrey, Whit Godfrey, Kathryn Stone (Stuart), Kendall Barker, Clay Cameron, Carmen Tavares, Cody Cameron (Kinley), Kasey Savage, Logan Hardbower, and Sam Hall (Kathy); and all of his friends who grew to be family at Azalea Court Assisted Living.

The Knox Family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the outstanding staff at Azalea Court Assisted Living, the nursing staff at Southeast Health and staff of Gentiva Hospice, for their exemplary care of Adam.
