DOTHAN: 2:23 PM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire, Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance to a critical motor vehicle accident on Hwy. 52 East, just west of Huskey Road intersection.
At the time of dispatch Dothan 911 had reports of entrapment, vehicle on fire, occupied. While responding Dothan Fire Battalion Chief reported smoke in the sky from that direction.
On arrival emergency responders tackled the vehicle on fire immediately. One patient was extricated and transported by Pilcher Ambulance, trauma alert to Southeast Health.
Dothan Police CRASH Team, as specialized traffic investigation team, has been dispatched to conduct the investigation. Dothan Police Traffic Division Commander Lt. Jason Adkins is on the scene.

This accident is a traffic fatality. The death was on the scene. RSN leaves as critical injuries until we find out the families have been notified.
The subject was pronounced dead on the scene by Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd.
After impact the vehicle burst into flames. Dothan Fire Department, while responding to the accident, could see the smoke in the sky.
Dothan Fireman walked the sides of the road and in the weeds making sure that no one was thrown from the wreckage. The driver of the white truck is reported to have complained of only leg pains.
Dothan Fire Engine 1 ( Central ) and Dothan Fire Engine 4 ( Southside ), Battalion Chief, and Deputy Fire Chief David Hasty were some on the scene.

James Albert Greenwood age 65 from Ludowici Georgia was the victim who died in the vehicle crash earlier this afternoon on the Columbia Highway
Closing arguments are now underway in the murder trial of former pageant queen Trinity Poague, accused of killing her boyfriend’s 2-year-old son. Prosecutors and defense attorneys are delivering their final arguments before the case goes to the jury.
One year. One year ago this evening not too long from now, we would helplessly stand by and watch this beautiful sanctuary be consumed by fire, along with the education and nursery wings, in a matter of just a few short hours despite the hard work of our local and surrounding area fire departments. We were heartbroken, devastated, and in complete shock as we witnessed our building fall to ruin. We prayed, stood by one another, hugged. We began to reminisce. As we would come to learn over the next days and weeks, so many people had special memories in this building. Marriages, celebrations of life, baby/child dedications, VBS, special music programs, and numerous other life events. But the most important memories shared talked about encountering Jesus here. What a special place. So, how would we move forward?

By God’s grace, His church is alive and well in Abbeville. And not only that, but thriving! Praise the Lord! He is doing a great work here! What was meant for ruin has turned to resolve. Of course, there are hard and overwhelming days. But in unity, we are moving ahead. There is no other option. God has been so faithful to provide what we need. What a blessing it is to have our Family Life Building! Our community has loved us well and been so very generous. We are grateful to be where we are. We know how important it is to have this building back for our town and our friends. It’s important to us, too, and we are dedicated to complete that task. One day, we will again have a sanctuary & church building to gather and worship together as the body of Christ, and we are diligently and carefully working towards that goal. Until that time comes, we press on to do the work of the Lord, trusting in His plan, bringing Him glory, and loving others as we have been called to do. We invite you to join us. HEADLAND: 07:33 AM. Henry County Central 911 dispatched a motor vehicle accident at 3405 County Road 22. Reports to Henry County 911 one vehicle with occupant complaining of facial pain.
Headland Fire – Rescue and Headland Police responded.

DOTHAN: 07:27 AM. Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire Engine 1 ( Central ), Truck 1 ( Central ), Battallion 1, Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Police to a critical injury accident at West Selma and Alice Street. Dothan 911 reported possible head on collision.
On arrival Acting Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Brown reported a three vehicle accident, two vehicles with moderate damage and one with minor damage. AC Brown reported four injuries and requested a second Pilcher Ambulance, non emergency, to respond. AC Brown reported no entrapment.
No injuries are reported life threatening or critical.
