DOTHAN: 11:51 PM. SATURDAY. At the request of ALEA Troopers Communications Dothan 911 dispatched a critical injury wreck on Denton Road and Flynn Road.
STUPID… An ALEA Trooper initiated the blue lights and siren attempting to make a traffic stop of a vehicle on Highway 431. Not the person “under” the blue lights but the person “in front of” the blue lights made the conscious decision to press the gas pedal rather than the brakes.
We then go from a simple traffic stop to now the person is committing a felony. AND, because this is an intentional act his insurance is VOID – NONE – NULL!
The suspect vehicle makes a right turn on Westgate Parkway and travels to Denton Road and makes a right turn. As the suspect approaches Flynn Road the suspect runs off the road and flips his vehicle.
Dothan Fire, Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Police respond. The suspect was transported to the hospital.
The suspect had two outstanding felony warrants. But he now has 4 felonies because he caught two when he made the conscious decision to run from the ALEA Trooper.

DOTHAN: The City of Dothan is currently demolishing the Dothan Eagle building located on North Oates and Troy Street. Part of the building is on the ground.
The Dothan Eagle stopped the printing presses and erminated the printing staff moving that to Opelika. So all editions of the Dothan Eagle are now printed and shipped back to Dothan. They no longer print 7 days and only print 3 days. So with those changes it drasatically reduced the number of employee and the large office buildings were no longer needed.
The offices of the Dothan Eagle were moved to the Wells Fargo Building towner on the west side of Ross Clark Circle. The City of Dothan purchased the main building of the Dothan Eagle on the west side of North Oates Street and the single story building on the eastside of North Oates. These buildings are part of the master plan established under former Dothan City Manager Kevin Cowper in 2022. And about to be history.

Investigators also seized three firearms, a stolen vehicle, and about $1,000 cash. One of the firearms was also reported stolen.
