David was preceded in death by his parents, Malcom Coy Andrews and Mary Chlotell Carter, and his sister, Lisa Andrews Pelt. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Beverly Andrews; son, Jeremy Andrews; daughter, Clara Andrews Harris (James); grandson, Owen Harris; brothers, Mike Andrews (Brenda), John Andrews (Melanie), and Gene Andrews (Pam); sisters, Vivian Baker (Bob), Katrina Puckett, Tracey Habron (Kenneth), and Tangela Andrews; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

As a devoted husband, David shared a marriage with Beverly that stood as a lasting example of commitment, companionship, and enduring love. Together they built a home rooted in faith, care, and devotion, sharing a lifetime of memories, challenges, and blessings. He treasured his family above all else and found great joy in the simple yet meaningful moments spent with those he loved.

David honorably served his country in the United States Navy for six years as a machinist, reflecting his strong sense of duty, discipline, and patriotism. Following his military service, he dedicated more than 40 years to his career as an Outage Coordinator at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant before retiring.

In addition to his career, David was known for his skill as a blacksmith and his love of gardening. These passions reflected his patient nature and appreciation for craftsmanship, growth, and the rewards of hard work. Whether shaping metal or tending the earth, he found satisfaction in creating and nurturing with his hands. His talents and hobbies were a true reflection of the man he was.

David was a faithful Christian and devoted member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church for 32 years, where he faithfully served as a deacon. His church family held a special place in his heart, and his faith guided the way he lived each day. His life was a testimony to the values he held dear: faith, family, and service to others.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, steadfast love for his family, and the many ways he enriched the lives of those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the legacy of his life will continue through the love he shared and the lives he touched.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the church family at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Southeast Cardiac Rehab, and the medical staff at Southeast Health for their care, support, and compassion.
