He was a devoted son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend whose presence brought joy and endless laughter to those who knew him.

Tijuan lived in several cities throughout his life, including Texas, Alabama, and Tennessee. No matter where he resided, he maintained strong connections with his family and friends and never forgot the roots that shaped him.

Known for his handsome smile, quick wit, and remarkable sense of humor, Tijuan had a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease. His personality lit up every room he entered. Beyond his humor, he was fiercely protective of those he loved. He cherished his family deeply and was especially devoted to his mother and sisters, always standing as a source of laughter and encouragement.

Throughout his life, Tijuan faced challenges with courage and determination. He fought through adversity and emerged stronger, ultimately achieving independence and creating a life marked by perseverance and personal growth. His strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit was unmatched.

Tijuan was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Easter Baines, who was born and raised in Broomfield, South Carolina. Their bond was unbreakable, and her love and guidance remained with him throughout his life.

He leaves to cherish his memory three loving sisters: Shantelle Brown (Douglas Brown) of Texas, Tameka Baines Hardwick of Birmingham, Alabama, and Kyisha Baines of Birmingham, Alabama.

He was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces, Satonia, Dezaraye, Alicia, and Faylee, and his nephews, DaeVon, Tyler, TraeVon, Christion, and DaMarko. He also leaves behind his cherished great-nieces, Kaydence, Halo, Raelynn, Zi’Raya, and Kali, and his great-nephew, TraeVon Jr., all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Tijuan loved his family wholeheartedly. He treasured his relationships with his aunts and uncles: Rose Penn (the late Irvin L. Penn), Maggie Reynolds (the late Tony Reynolds), the late Joe T. Wallace, the late Robert Wallace, Elmo Middleton, Cheryl White, Rodney Wallace (Renee), and Patricia Newton, all of South Carolina, along with a host of cousins and friends. He never hesitated to protect and support those he loved. His life was a testament to resilience and unconditional love.

Though his earthly journey has ended, Tijuan’s legacy of love, laughter, and perseverance will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
