Alberto Hugh Asyn Jr., a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away on March 26, 2025, at Southeast Health, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 10, 1957, in Panama, Alberto’s laughter and kind spirit brought joy to all who knew him throughout his 68 years of life.
A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the St. Columba Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 or by phone, 1-800-227-2345.
Alberto was predeceased by his loving parents, Alberto Asyn Sr. and Hercilia Kam Asyn. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with his devoted wife of 25 years, Helena Fernandez, and their four sons, Augusto Asyn (Silvia), Adrian Asyn (Hannah), Andre and Luis Alberto Asyn. A sister, Taffy Asyn. Three brothers, William, Theodore and Terrance Asyn. Two grandchildren, Paulina Asyn and Silas Kai Asyn.
For 24 years, Alberto was a respected figure in the poultry industry, dedicating his career to Wayne Farms. His colleagues knew him as a hard worker who could always be counted on to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke or a funny story. His commitment to his work was matched only by his commitment to his faith and community as a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.
Alberto’s interests extended beyond his professional life. He celebrated 25 years of marriage with the love of his life, Helena, and together they built a family founded on laughter and mutual respect. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he instilled in them the values of hard work, compassion, and the importance of family. He had a knack for making others laugh, and his sense of humor was one of his most memorable traits.
Those who knew Alberto will remember him as a funny and kind man who could brighten the darkest of days with his smile. His presence was a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his memory will continue to inspire laughter and love in the hearts of his family and friends.
As we say goodbye to Alberto, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of joy, love, and an unshakeable faith in the goodness of people. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories he told, the lives he touched, and the family he adored.
