DOTHAN: 6:38 PM Dothan 911 dispatched a two vehicle accident, reports of critical injuries, vehicle overturned, Westgate Parkway and Burbank. Dothan Fire, Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance have been dispatched.
Dothan Fire Engine Company 3 ( Whatley Drive ) arrived on the scene. On arrival Engine Company 3 reported two vehicles, one overturned, heavy damage to both vehicles.
Dothan Fire Truck Company 3 ( Whatley Drive ), which has extrication equipment arrived on the scene directly behind Engine Company 3.
6:45 PM Dothan Fire Engine Company 3 reported one patient entrapped.

6:52 PM Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Jack Wood reports four ( 4 ) patients; three green and one red. “Green patients” primarily refer to individuals with minor injuries in mass casualty triage, often called the “walking wounded,” who can wait for care. Red patients” refers to individuals with life-threatening injuries or conditions requiring immediate medical attention, often identified by a red tag in mass casualty incidents or designated as “Code Red” in ambulances, signifying critical status, severe bleeding, or respiratory distress needing urgent intervention to save their lives.
6:57 PM The three green patients refuse transport. The second ambulance is cancelled on their response.
6:58 PM The southbound lanes of Westgate Parkway at Burbank are closed authority of Dothan Police Department due to this accident.
7:03 PM Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Jack Wood reports extrication of the trapped patient complete.
7:05 PM Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Jack Wood reports Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Fire Medic 3 ( Whatley Drive ) are transporting emergency, trauma alert, to Southeast Health from the accident scene.
HOUSTON COUNTY: On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, Houston County 911 and Dothan 911 dispatched units to Memphis Church Road to reports of a tractor fire.
Dispatched and mutual aid requested, Dothan Fire Department, Hodgesville Volunteer Fire Department, Lovetown Volunteer Fire Department, Rehobeth Volunteer Fire Department, and Alabama Forrestry were all on the scene.
What began as a John Deere Tractor on fire spread into a field and hay on fire. Considerable damage to the tractor and hay.
Since that day departments have been called to respond back because it flared back up. It is almost impossible to get hay bales out.
The combined departments, worked as one, together in unison.
REHOBETH: Colton Trotter, a 2025 graduate of Rehobeth High School and currently at Troy University is an avid bass fisherman.
During Colton’s High School he was a very active part of Rehobeth High School Bass Team. At Troy he is a member of Troy University Bass Team.
He is always bass fishing. From Eufaula to Arkansas Colton is in bass tournaments. He keeps his parents, Lucas and Kimberly Trotter busy on the road traveling with him.
Colton’s younger brother, Eastman, is also a talented bass fisherman.

DOTHAN: 2:30 PM. A Houston County Sheriff Deputy was parked on East Selma conducting one of the unpleasant duties bestowed on the Sheriff and his Deputies. Evicting someone from their home.
The Sheriff Deputy marked patrol vehicle was parked at the residence. A vehicle came up, stopped and the Houston County Sheriff Deputy, who was inside, could hear some people outside yelling. When the Deputy went to investigate there was a female with cuts to her hand. A male subject had taken off running.
The Houston County Sheriff Deputy called for EMS and Dothan Police, emergency response.
The male and female appeared to be in argument as they were driving down the road. When the female spotted the marked Houston County Sheriff vehicle she stopped.
Dothan Fire EMS responded and Dothan Police. The female had cuts to the hand but none were life threatening.
Dothan Police set up a perimeter and K-9’s to track the suspect. Unknown if ever apprehended. The identify of the supect is known.
ALABAMA-CLIO: On Monday evening EMS from Echo was dispatched by Ozark-Dale County 911 to a stabbing at the State of Alabama – Easterling Prison in Clio.
Reports are a 35 year old make had a puncture wound to the upper right hematoma.
The Alabama Prison System uses their own internal resources so outside law enforcement does not investigate.
Two Douglas residents are facing multiple felony drug charges following a vehicle pursuit and the execution of a search warrant as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
On December 30, 2025, agents with the Douglas Coffee Drug Unit (DCDU) executed a search warrant at a residence near Trojan Way. Upon arrival, agents were led on a brief vehicle pursuit that ended on Highway 441 North. Traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted but the pursuit concluded safely.
Inside the vehicle were Joel Dooley, 35, and Leondra Carmichael Dooley, 44, both of Douglas. The two were detained without incident and transported to the Coffee County Jail.
Following the traffic stop, agents with DCDU, assisted by the D.I.C.E. Unit (Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement), conducted a search of the residence. During the execution of the warrant, agents recovered:
Approximately 12 ounces of cocaine
Approximately 12 pounds of marijuana
63 Oxycodone tablets
Multiple firearms

Coffee County Sheriff Fred Cole praised the work of investigators, stating the DCDU was created to disrupt the manufacturing, distribution, and use of illegal drugs in the county.
“This is what zero-tolerance enforcement looks like. Drug activity that threatens the safety of our community will not be tolerated, and every available resource will be dedicated to this mission,” Sheriff Cole said.
All persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
