ORIGINAL: A line of storms moved through the Wiregrass Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, putting the region under a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch.
A wind advisory brought sustained widespread winds of 30 to 40 mph, with some areas seeing wind gusts of 50 to 80 mph.

The Alabama Power outage map shows some several hundred people out of power in New Brockton and Enterprise. Communities in Coffee County and Geneva County are affected, and some outages are beginning to appear in Henry County. UPDATE: Most of these outages are resolved.
The Wiregrass Electric Cooperative map shows over 150 outages in Coffee County, Geneva County and Houston County. UPDATE: These outages seem to be resolved.

The second-place winner will be awarded $2,000 in prize money, six months of social media coaching, one-on-one time with an industry professional, and an opening slot for the Porter Park Amphitheater show.
