Samson Fire is responding to a report of a fully involved structure fire at 404 East Morris Street in Samson.
Flat Creek Volunteer Fire was also dispatched for mutual aid.
Reports say this afternoon’s fire is a rekindle of a fire report this morning.
Just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night, Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire, Pilcher’s Ambulance and Dothan Police to Montgomery Highway and John D. Odom Road with a report that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
It’s possible the vehicle was a semi truck. The driver did stop.
The patient was taken to a local hospital under trauma alert with life-threatening injuries and has since been transported to a major trauma hospital in critical condition.
Dothan Police CRASH Team, a specialized traffic division, is investigating the incident.
Illegal gambling machines seized and forfeited by court order as a part of Operation Las Vegas were taken to the Coffee County Landfill to be destroyed and buried.
In May of last year, gambling machines and money were seized from three locations in Enterprise.
At 8:23 a.m. Geneva County Central Dispatch called Slocomb Fire and Rescue and Malvern Volunteer Fire to respond to a fully-involved structure fire at Royce Lane and Malvern Highway, right at the line between Houston and Geneva counties.
Reports indicate a trailer was burning.
Wicksburg Fire and Rescue was called for mutual aid at 8:42 p.m., as on-scene units reported they were running out of water; Wicksburg Fire was dispatched to Hosea Road.
Crews battled the fire, but significant damage is reported.

Fort Novosel soldiers visited Westgate Park this morning to run two miles alongside Dothan Mayor Mark Saliba and members of the police department and fire department. Major General Clair Gill, Fort Novosel’s commanding general, led the way for the runners.
