UPDATE: Law enforcement plans to remain on scene, but it currently seems the report was unfounded, as no shooter nor any injuries have been located.

ORIGINAL: Military personnel are responding to an “active shooter situation” at Naval Air Station’s Corry Station in Pensacola, Florida.

“NAS Pensacola Navy Security Forces and local law enforcement entities are responding to an active shooter situation March 6 onboard Corry Station,” the base said in a post.

Reports say a call came in that three shots were fired. Escambia County Sheriffs swept the building but found no sign of an active shooter.

No injuries are currently reported.

The main and west gates were closed. There is a large law enforcement response, and Escambia County Fire and Rescue responded.

Dothan Fire responded to a report of a structure fire at Cherokee + Main and began ventilating the building.

Cherokee Avenue beside the business was briefly blocked.

Initial reports indicated smoke and flames were visible, but units arriving on-scene did not see any flames.
