Rescue units responded to a report of a wreck on Columbia Highway near Omussee Road. Traffic is now moving on Columbia Highway, but the road was blocked for a period of time.
One person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Major damage was reported. The jaws of life were used to extract one victim.
Reports indicate a head-on collision. A Toyota Camry and Ford F150 were involved in the crash.
Dothan Police and Dothan Fire responded to the wreck.
DOTHAN: Dothan Police SWAT on an armored vehicle are on an apparent search warrant on West Powell Street in Dothan. Circumstances and exact address unknown.
West Powell Street is west of Church’s Fried Chicken from North Oates Street. Church’s is only used as a landmark to show the area and they are not involved!!!
The pace car and other valuables were stolen from the South Alabama Speedway in Kinston, and owners are asking the public to help try and spot the vehicle.
The theft happened between Monday night and early Wednesday morning.
The stolen pace car is a 2012 Dodge Charger with several decals and a light bar.
Radios, headsets, and storage for the track’s security cameras (with the footage) were also stolen.
Speedway officials are asking the community to watch out for the stolen pace car or any other racing equipment being sold online.
