Deborah Wisteen “Debbie” Whitehead passed away on April 23, 2026. She was born on April 13, 1955, in Dothan, Alabama, and lived a life defined by devotion to her family, a strong work ethic, and a gentle spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neva and James White, Sr.; and her sister-in-law, Stephanie White.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Whitehead of Dothan; her former husband, Billy Whitehead, Jr.; her brothers, Jim White of Dothan and Tim White (Robyne) of Oklahoma; her sister, Vanessa White of Plano, Texas; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Debbie was a graduate of Dothan High School and carried the values of hard work and perseverance with her throughout her life. She began her career at Colonial Bakery Thrift Store and later worked at Wilbros before finding her long-term home with Globe Motors where she worked for over 27 years. She began as a secretary and worked up to becoming a purchasing agent. She became known for her reliability, attention to detail, and quiet dedication.
She attended Southside Baptist Church, where she found comfort in her faith. Debbie also enjoyed her involvement with Special Olympics, where she supported and encouraged her son, Anthony. Through this, she formed meaningful connections and cherished many special memories.Though she lived in different places throughout her life, she was at heart a homebody who found joy in simple, familiar surroundings and quiet moments.
Above all, Debbie’s greatest love was her son. Her life reflected a deep and abiding devotion to her family, expressed through steady presence, kindness, and care. She did not seek recognition, but those who knew her will remember her for her warm heart, her gentle nature, and her unwavering love for those closest to her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Debbie will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.

Sue Masters Sanders of Enterprise, AL passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Flowers Hospital. She was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 27, 2026, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Teddy Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time.
Sue found her greatest joy in spending time with her beloved husband, children, and grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her life. She also had a love for shopping with her friend Celia Mitchell and took delight in finding bargains. Her home was always a warm and welcoming place, where no one ever left empty-handed, she made sure to have treats for everyone who walked through her door.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Russell and Grace Crumley Masters.

Teresa Ann (Smith) Cook, 62, a resident of Ashford, passed away, Thursday, April 23, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Ashford with Reverend Mike Grimes officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing. The family will receive friends following the service.

Teresa was born May 23, 1963, in Donalsonville, Georgia to Billy Ray Smith & Charlotte Ann Mosley. She spent the early years of her life in Dothan and was 1981 graduate of Dothan High School. She worked for many years for Vend Serve and spent over 15 years working as a clerk with Alabama Beverage Control until her retirement. Outside of work, Teresa enjoyed playing softball most of her life, and she was of Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Cook; her father, Billy Ray Smith; and her grandparents.
She is survived by her son, Briceson Cook of Ashford; her mother and step-father, Charlotte Ann Morris (Doug) of Dothan; her two brothers, Anthony Ray Smith (Marie), and Timothy Jerome Smith both of Dothan; her two nephews, Trent Smith (Maegon), and Paxton Smith; her two great-nephews, Griggs & Christian Smith; and a special pet, Hank.

Patricia Hubler, age 93, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away on April 21, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of a life marked by faith, kindness, and quiet strength. She was born on January 1, 1933, in Maryland, where she spent her early years and later graduated from high school. Patricia carried the values of her upbringing throughout her life, and she remained a woman of deep devotion, gentle spirit, and steadfast love for her family.
Patricia was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her in all that she did. She lived with grace and humility, and those who knew her will remember the warmth of her presence and the sincerity of her care for others. She was small in stature but mighty in spirit, and she faced life with a steady heart and a determined nature that inspired those around her. Her life was a reflection of her faith-filled character, and she touched many lives through her kindness and quiet example.
Patricia was a homebody at heart and found joy in the simple and meaningful things of life. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, and she took great pleasure in caring for the world around her. She loved chickens, and she also found creative expression in painting and sewing. In her younger years, she gave piano lessons and was a concert pianist in the making, showing both talent and dedication in music. These interests were a beautiful reflection of her thoughtful nature and her appreciation for beauty, creativity, and the peaceful rhythms of home.
She is survived by her children, Mike Harris and his wife Kathy, and Mark Harris and his wife Leisa. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members who will cherish her memory. Patricia’s family was a source of great pride and joy in her life, and she loved them deeply and faithfully.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Wally” Hubler; her daughters, Felecia Vanderbrooke and Velda Brewer; her brother, Bill Michaels and his wife Kathy; and her parents, William and Mary Ellen Michaels. Though her family grieves her passing, they take comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her and rests in the peace of God’s eternal care.
Patricia’s life was one of devotion, love, and enduring faith. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle ways, and the strength she carried through every season of life. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved, the faith she practiced, and the many memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

OZARK…On Friday, April 17, 2026, Sergeant First Class, United States Army, Retired, Gerald Dale Arrington of Ozark, Alabama passed away at home with his loving wife by his side.
Gerald was lovingly known as “Fred” by his friends, family, and comrades—a name that reflected the warmth and familiarity he brought to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph James Arrington; his mother, Edna Ould Arrington; and his brother, Roy Arrington.
He leaves behind his devoted and beloved wife, Mary Arrington of Ozark, Alabama; his daughter, Stacy Murray of Perdido Key, Florida; his niece, Sherry Arrington Trent of Dillwyn, Virginia; and two nephews, Mark Edward Arrington of Burkeville, Virginia and Paul Edward Arrington of Bracey, Virginia, along with extended family and many dear friends whom he deeply cherished and shared countless meaningful moments with.
Mr. Arrington proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after a distinguished career as an Air Traffic Controller and Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist. He served in Germany for 10 years and was highly decorated and respected throughout his military career. Following retirement from the Army, Mr. Arrington continued his service at Fort Rucker, Alabama with DynCorp, working under top security clearance as a records specialist until his retirement. He graduated from Glenelg High School in Glenelg, Maryland, and later earned his technical degree in drafting from George C. Wallace Dothan, Alabama.
Fred found immense joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments, especially those spent with his beloved wife, Mary. He enjoyed grilling for family and friends, sharing caviar with his daughter, chatting with his niece and spending time outdoors camping, beaching, boating, and documenting wildlife with his love, his wife. He had a deep love for animals, especially birds, and a lifelong passion for helicopters that remained close to his heart.
Mr. Arrington treasured time with his friends and fellow retirees, often enjoying a cold drink while cheering on his favorite team, Alabama football—Roll Tide. Fred had a presence that could light up any room, paired with a calm and steady nature that brought comfort and ease to those around him. His kindness, strength, and quiet wisdom left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Fred was a gentle and peaceful man with a generous heart, always ready to share kindness, laughter, and love. As Leo Tolstoy wrote, “Love is life. All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I love.” Fred lived this truth in the way he loved his family, his friends, and everyone blessed to know him.
At this time, the family has not set a date for a celebration of life. Once all plans are set, family and friends will receive notification. The family asks for continued love, support, and prayers for his beloved and cherished wife, Mrs. Mary Arrington, during this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

Susan Claseman, affectionately known as Sue to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026.
Sue was born on April 3, 1948, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Richard and Leona (Soderquist) Morgan. She will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, bright smile, and quick wit—qualities that brought joy and laughter to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Sue dedicated more than 20 years of her life working at Belk, where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly nature, leaving a lasting impression on both colleagues and customers. Outside of work, she found great joy in gardening, nurturing beauty and life in everything she touched.
A devoted Catholic, Sue was a faithful member of St. Columba Church in Dothan.
She is survived by her children, Shaun (Diane) Claseman of Gold Canyon, Arizona, and Stephanie (Cale) Madden of Panama City Beach, Florida; her sisters, Connie, Jeanne, and Patricia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at a future date.
