Emma Isabella Leger, born on June 6, 2017, and passing on June 6, 2026, brought light, laughter, and love to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Emma, lovingly known as “sweet girl” and “pumpkin,” was a bright and beautiful child whose presence filled every room with joy. She was full of life and had a spark that made her unforgettable from the moment you met her. Emma had a bubbly spirit, a loving heart, and a pretty smile that reflected the sweetness within her. She was a smart girl with a firecracker attitude, and she carried herself with a lively charm that made her dearly loved by her family and all who knew her.

Emma loved being outside and found happiness in the simple wonders of the world around her. She enjoyed playing in the dirt in her dress, embracing life with the kind of fearless delight that only a child can have. She loved any animal she encountered and had a special tenderness for the creatures she met. Emma also enjoyed cooking, dressing up, and pretending to be a princess, bringing imagination and joy into her everyday play. She loved to dance, and she liked cheer, always moving through life with energy and enthusiasm. Her favorite shows included Bluey and My Little Pony, and she especially loved Disney movies and princesses, which matched her sweet and joyful personality.

Emma was a third-grade student at Midland City Elementary School, where she was cherished by classmates, teachers, and staff alike. She was known for her kindness, her bright spirit, and the way she left a lasting impression on everyone around her. Emma had a way of making people smile and feel special, and her memory will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of loving her. She will never be forgotten by those who met her, because her presence was truly one of a kind.

Emma is survived by her parents, Gabrielle and Travis Leger; her brother, Emmett Leger; her grandparents, Bobby and Lynn Johnson Leger, Diane Lamb, and Molly Barker and Michael Barbieri (Erika); and her great grandfather, James Suggs. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family members who will forever carry her memory with them. She was preceded in death by her great grandma B, her great grandma Baba, her great grandad Ernie, her great granddad Pop, her great grandparents Barnis and Lorena Leger, and her cousin Harley.

Though her time on earth was far too brief, Emma Isabella Leger lived with a radiance that touched countless lives. Her laughter, her sweetness, her playful spirit, and her loving nature will remain treasured memories for her family and all who loved her. She will be remembered for the joy she brought, the innocence she carried, and the beautiful way she made the world brighter simply by being in it.

Emma’s life was a precious gift, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her most. Her family will forever hold close the moments they shared with her, the love she gave so freely, and the light she brought into their lives. She will be remembered always as a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, cousin, and friend, and as a sweet little girl whose love and spirit will never fade.

A celebration of Emma’s life will be held at 4:30pm on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Duran officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30pm-4:30pm on Sunday at the funeral home. To honor Emma’s joyful and vibrant spirit, the family kindly requests that attendees wear bright colors.
