WEEKEND – LABOR DAY: This weekend I went to Foley – Orange Beach – Gulf Shores and Pensacola.
On Saturday went out on the boat and to Flora – Bama with friends.
On part of the trip the water was rough. Then Josh changed paths and the water was better.
As someone who is normally on Lake Eufaula, this is a welcome change and view. Met some great friends and new experiences.
Had two weekends on a Yamaha Jet boat. Those are neat and nice.
Dylon was in Destin – Ft. Walton area. A great crowd. Rough water and rain all day Friday and Saturday. Went to the islands and a lot of people anchored out.
There was a concert at Crab Island and I have a lot of good comments.
RSN did keep up with activities crime wise. Some assaults, fist fights. Did not notice any shootings or edged weapon assaults. Have some video of shots fired in the Webb area. Need to find out the circumstances for the residents.
Some wrecks with injuries. One dispatched as critical. Unknown the extent of injuries,. But all in all do thinks a relative calm weekend for law enforcement.
Law Enforcement officers were out in force. They kept a heavy hand keeping all in order.

HENRY COUNTY – LAKE EUFAULA: 12:42 PM. Henry County Central 911 dispatched a structure fire at 655 Calhoun Drive. This is at Henry County/Barbour County line.
Heavy smoke was visible from White Oak Campground.
Screamer Volunteer Fire was dispatched, Henry County Sheriff Department, Abbeville Police and Abbeville Fire Department- Rescue.
Alabama Forrestry has been dispatched because fire into woodline. Additional structures are in danger.
GENEVA COUNTY: This evening multiple agencies and law enforcement agencies have been in Hartford. They were joined by WASP ( Wiregrass Aviation Support Prograpm ) helicopter.
As of this writing not sure all agencies involved. Geneva County Sheriff Department, Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum and members of Dale County Sheriff Department, Hartford Police Department, Houston County Sheriff Department Special Response Team.
A suspect, UNCONFIRMED, wanted on rape charges.
As of this writing not sure if manhunt is still underway or if they have apprehended the suspect. As more information is avaiable we will update.

Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms confirmed the arrest of Jason Joseph McDonnell. The arrest was about 1 AM this morning.
Geneva County Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence last evening where McDonnell was reported to be going to collect his belongings. McDonnell has a history of violence and the departments have dealt with him on other occassions. These location was around Geneva County Road 41 which was in Geneva Police jurisdiction. The Sheriff Deparment assisted Geneva Police Department.
On arrival of law enforcement McConnel fled on foot. Investigation determined the four wheeler and camper of McConnell were stolen. A multi department response and search resulted in McConnell’s arrest and he is now in the Geneva County Jail.
COTTONWOOD: Today I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with grandson Brantley. We went to his golf lessons with Ryan Benton at 4:30 PM.
Following the golf lessons we went to the Cottonwood Verses Ashford football game in Cottonwood. A great crowd was on hand.
It was an exciting crowd. And following a time of disention in the recent elections, tonight was a grrat breath of fresh air in Cottonwood. Everyone from all walks of life seemed to be relaxed and have an enjoyable time at the Cottonwood verses Ashford foot ball game.
Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Cottonwood Police were on hand as usual. It was grerat observing the two School Resource Deputy Sheriff’s and the interaction with students. They have built a great reputation with the students. I know grandson Brantley always speaks highly of them.
Cottonwood Rescue was onhand in the event any player was hurt. Great they were not needed but were on standby.
