Born on March 7, 1955, Martha lived a life marked by love, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a loving and selfless woman whose greatest joy came from caring for those around her. Family always came before anything else in her life, and she was known by those who loved her as a true super mom. Her gentle spirit, easygoing nature, and generous heart touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Harvey Keisling and Nellie Cosby Keisling. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry Andrews; her daughter, Susan Andrews; her son, Derek Andrews; her grandson, Jeremy Andrews; her brother, Stuart Keisling; her nephew, Adam Keisling; her uncle, Jerry Cosby and his wife Rena; and her aunt, Mary Holloway. Martha was a caregiver in every sense of the word. She had a heart that was always ready to help, and she was the kind of person who would give you her last dollar or the shoes off her feet if you needed them. She was quiet, loving, and deeply selfless, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She loved animals and enjoyed planting flowers, finding joy in the simple and beautiful things of life. She especially appreciated receiving petunias and African violets for Mother’s Day, which reflected her love of nature and the thoughtfulness of her family.

A devoted Alabama football fan, Martha proudly cheered, “Roll Tide,” and enjoyed the traditions and excitement that came with supporting her team. More than anything, though, she cherished the comfort of home, the warmth of family, and the blessing of time spent with those she loved. Her life was a reflection of compassion, humility, and steadfast devotion, and she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely.

Ralph Stamps

Ralph Stamps

Ralph Stamps, a kind, loving, and hardworking man, passed away on June 8, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 90.

Born on April 28, 1936, Ralph lived a life marked by steady devotion to his family, his work, and his faith. He was known by those who loved him as a very supportive, patient, and kind man who could always be counted on to lend a hand. He found great satisfaction in being outdoors, building, repairing, and fixing things. To his family and friends, he was more than a provider and a helper. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a model of how to be a good man.

Ralph met his beloved wife, Dale, in New York, and the two were married in 1971. Their life together was built on love, loyalty, and shared purpose. In 1976, they moved from New York to Dothan, Alabama, where they made their home and established deep roots in the community. Ralph carried with him the strength, work ethic, and determination that defined his life, and he used those qualities to care for the people and responsibilities entrusted to him.

For many years, Ralph worked as a maintenance technician at Dothan Housing Authority, where his skill, reliability, and practical knowledge were appreciated by all who knew him professionally. He took pride in doing his work well and in helping others through the tasks he performed each day. His reputation for being handy and dependable reflected not only his abilities, but also his character. He approached his work with patience and care, and he was respected for the quiet, steady way he went about his responsibilities.

Faith was an important part of Ralph’s life. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2007, and his dedication to his faith was evident in the way he lived. He spent 10 years pioneering alongside his wife. He was guided by his beliefs and sought to reflect them through his conduct, his kindness, and his example to others. His spiritual commitment was a source of strength and meaning throughout his later years, and it remained an important part of the legacy he leaves behind.

Ralph was also known for his warm personality and the simple joys that brought him happiness. He was affectionately called the Mississippi Cowboy, a name that reflected both his spirit and the personality that endeared him to others. He appreciated the outdoors and the satisfaction of making something useful and lasting with his own hands. These interests were a natural extension of who he was, a man who valued usefulness, integrity, and the dignity of honest work.

He is survived by his wife, Dale Stamps; his sons, Yory Stamps and Kyle Stamps and his wife DeNita; his grandchildren, Mari Rain Salim (Nashawn) and Olivia Stamps. He is also survived by his younger sister, Verteal Bell and her husband Jacob. He leaves behind living in-laws from the Lawrence Family whom he loved very much: Mary Neal, Louise Lawrence, Evelyn Speed, John Lawrence, Martha Walker, Robert Lawrence (Elaine), Barbara Knight (James) and Wade & Virginia Jones as well as a large number of nieces and nephews, many other friends and family members who were blessed by his presence, his guidance, and his example. His family will remember him for his love, his patience, and the steady strength he brought into their lives.

Ralph was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Angie Palmore (Lonnie), Carrie Woosley (Leroy), Cornel Stamps (Naomi), Merdis Pearson (Edgar), Eulysses Stamps (Thelma), Verdisel Stamps (Lula).

Ralph’s life was one of devotion, humility, and service. He lived in a way that showed what it means to care deeply for family, to work faithfully, and to remain true to one’s values. He will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 912 State Ave, Dothan, AL 36303.  If you would like to watch the service via Zoom, ID: 3057576533 and password: 462936.
