Judy McKee, 86, who had been residing in Dothan, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, attended to by medical staff and family.
Judy was born on December 25, 1939, in Leavenworth, Washington to Gordon and Betty Lawrence. Judys parents divorced when she was young. Her mother remarried and her brother Raymond Redman was born. Judy’s Mother and Mr. Redman divorced. Judy’s mother remarried to Jack Fritz, one of Jehovah’s Witnesses who was a fine man and excellent stepdad. Judy grew up in the Apple Capital of the World, along the Wenatchee River in Washington.
Judy dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized at age eleven on October 31, 1950. She graduated High School in 1958. Judy pioneered about two years and enjoyed traveling to international assemblies in New York and Europe with family and friends before her marriage to Clark McKee on January 27, 1962. They had five children, Jeffrey, Pamela, Cherie, Charmen and Justin. Judy was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Her children have many good memories with Judy enjoying family life, worship, sharing the Good News of God’s Kingdom, visiting with friends, enjoying sharing food and games. For Judy, life was a musical. She loved to sing and always sang on road trips. The family lived in Washington, California, and Montana, with Clark being in the construction trade. Judy was known to be kind, generous, loving and sincere. Everyone who met Judy could not help but notice her good nature, smile, warmth and sense of humor. Judy enjoyed knitting and sewing. She made the family clothing and made special matching outfits for large conventions to make it easier to see who the children should be with in a crowd. She also supplemented the family income with work as seamstress, doing alterations and such. She loved to read and would read to her children as they gathered around enthralled.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Betty; her brother, Raymond; her husband of sixty-three years, Clark; and her sons-in-law, Shane Lunstrum and Chad Lewis.
Judy is survived by sons, Jeff (Jodi) and Justin (Renee) and daughters, Pamela, Cherie and Charmen, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several step- grandchildren and great grandchildren. Additionally, by her half-sisters Gail and Joan, a half-brother, James and an adopted brother, Darryl. Judy loved and enjoyed interacting with them all as time allowed. She enjoyed her nieces’ and nephews’ company and kept current with them through the years.
Judy was comforted and found encouragement, hope and tools for endurance in God’s future promises of no more death and no more pain. She enjoyed comforting others and sharing hope wherever she went. She looked forward to the bibles promises of a wonderful future under Gods Kingdom such as Revelation 21:3 & 4.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 4:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 866 N. Brannon Stand Road, Dothan Alabama, with Jesse Guckenberg officiating. The family will receive friends at the Kingdom Hall following the service.

Michael “Mike” Dale Marshall

It is with profoundly heavy hearts that the family of Michael “Mike” Dale Marshall sharesthe news of his untimely passing on March 13, 2026, at his home in Atlanta, Georgia. Mike was 63.
Born in Dothan, Alabama, on April 2,1962, to the late Gayle Bostick Marshall and the late Larry Wood Marshall, Mike was a member of the1980 class of Northview High School, where he graduated with honors. Following high school, he attended the University of Alabama on a full academic scholarship majoringin Biology and Healthcare Administration. While at the University, Mike formedmany lifelong friendships, pledged Phi Gamma Delta, taught Biology as a student professor, had a marvelous timeandgraduated with honors. He was exceptionallyintelligent, undeniably fun,mischievous (in a good way) and 100% unpretentious. He was, as one friend said, “gentle as a flower and tough as boot leather”. Mike was a man who demonstrated personal integrity, loyalty, compassion, kindness, and humor in all things. He was a rabid football fan and spent most of his Fall Saturdays cheering on the Crimson Tide.He was a loving and devoted husband to Jo Ann and a committed and caringfather to John Robert. Mike wasdearly loved by his family and friends. He was a person of substance. His laugh was unique and positivelycontagious, and he was known to be thoughtful and generous, especially to thosein need or with disabilities.Mikecared deeply for “his people” and gave of his time and his heartwithout reservation.
Professionally, Mike enjoyed a long and successful career in hospital administration at various hospitals, including Mobile Infirmary, several Health South Rehabilitation hospitals across the southeast, and later, as CEO of Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis, Alabama. He was a gifted leader, assets manager, and troubleshooter. In many instances, he instituted visionary procedures that brought about dramatic positive changes in the facilities he managed and communities he served. His“open door policy” was more than mere words as he literally removed the door to his office to encourage collaboration and openness amongst hospital leadership and fellow team members.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, John Robert Christian III; brother, Marty Marshall (Cindy); and father-in-law JoeMiller (Mary Lou). He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann Miller Marshall; brother, Mitch Marshall; sister-in-law, TeresaMiller Norman (Keith); nieces, Anna Marshall McKnight (Dustin), Dr. Rebecca Marshall, Makayla Marshall, Mariah Marshall, and Johnson Norman; nephews, Byrne Norman, Jr. (Kathryn), Miller Norman (Emily), and Harry Norman (Maggie); and many great nieces and nephews.

Marjorie Carter Williams of Geneva, AL passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026. She was 94 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with her granddaughter, Amber Hatcher delivering the Eulogy and Rev. Kevin Krist officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Marjorie was born in Geneva County, Alabama, on November 15, 1931, to the late John Angus and Mattie Ruth Padgett Carter. She worked for many years as a CNA, providing compassionate care to the elderly both in their homes and in hospitals. Marjorie also had a deep love for children and owned and operated a daycare for many years. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Driscal and Kathryn Mary Stokes; one sister, Margaret Elizabeth Stinson.
She is survived by two daughters, Jackie Mata of Geneva, AL and Naomi Ruth McArdle (Danny) of Dothan, AL; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Sarah Katherine Spears (Dewey) of Geneva, AL.

Ethel Mae Armstrong, affectionately known as Mae, passed away on March 28, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 71.
Born on October 22, 1954, in Salem, New Jersey, Mae carried with her throughout life the values of love, devotion, and quiet strength. She was the daughter of the late Troy Carr and Elizabeth Adkinson Carr. In 1989, she made Dothan her home, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, and the simple joys that gave her days meaning.
Mae was a woman whose family was truly her heart. She loved deeply and gave freely, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her life was marked by selflessness and generosity, and those who knew her will remember the warmth of her spirit and the comfort of her presence. She had a gentle way of making others feel cared for, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Mae found joy in the beauty of everyday life. She loved plants and flowers and took pleasure in nurturing the things around her with care and attention, even though she didn’t necessarily have a green thumb. This love reflected the way she lived her life, with tenderness, purpose, and appreciation for the world she helped make brighter. Whether spending time with family or tending to the things she loved, Mae approached life with grace and sincerity.
She is survived by her daughter, Veronica Armstrong; her son, Bill Lloyd Armstrong III and his wife, Sheree; and her cherished grandchildren, Mariah Algarin, Bill Lloyd Armstrong IV, and Jarrod David Armstrong and his wife, Hope. Mae also leaves behind Lucy, her beloved four-legged companion, who brought her companionship and comfort. Her family will forever treasure the memories they shared with her, along with the lessons of love, patience, and devotion she passed on through her example.
Bobby Glenn English, age 82, of Ozark, Alabama, passed away on March 29, 2026. He was born on October 25, 1943, in Coffee County, Alabama, and lived a life marked by love, faith, hard work, and devotion to family.
Bobby was the beloved husband of the late Shirley English and the cherished son of the late Lester and Louise English. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Travis English, Samuel English, and Carolyn Davis, as well as his great-grandson, Jacob Glenn Aldridge. He is survived by his children, Wanda Cabrera and her husband Manuel, Debbie Aldridge and her husband Steve, Bobbie Hirschman and her husband Richard, Rhonda English, and Deeann Roll and her husband Darien. He also leaves behind his siblings Rex English and his wife Kay, Patricia Morris and her husband Mike, Keith English and his wife Karen, and Curtis English and his wife Wanda.
Bobby was a proud grandfather to Bobby Aldridge and his wife Samantha, Kevin Messer and his wife Heather, Stephanie Nelson and her husband Keith, Michael Hirschman and his wife Amanda, Jacqueline Fitzpatrick and her husband Kevin, Melina Vigil and her husband Will, Angela Hirschman and her wife Elena, Heather Terry and her husband Dray, Hannah Roll, Nathan Roll, and Hayden Cabrera. He was also blessed with 18 great-grandchildren, Stephen Aldridge, Rayne Paez, Levi Aldridge, Mark Kiel and his wife Lillian, Hayley Messer, Bryson Messer, Peyton Fitzpatrick, Hyatt Hirschman, Brody Fitzpatrick, Toby Hirschman, Haiden Fitzpatrick, Lizzie Fitzpatrick, Stella Fitzpatrick, Caleb Vigil, and Katerina Vigil, Sofia Scott, Leo Terry and Roamli Terry, along with three great-great-grandchildren, Kohen Kiel, Olivia Kiel, and Vivian Kiel. The children who refer to him as ‘Grandaddy” reach far outside his own blood.
Bobby worked faithfully as an electrician with Scarborough and Associates until his retirement in 2018. He was a hard worker, a man’s man, and someone others naturally looked up to for his strength, skill, and steady presence. He always believed there was a better way to do things, and he approached life with determination and practical wisdom. His work ethic and dependability were hallmarks of who he was, both on the job and at home.
Faith was an important part of Bobby’s life, and he was a member of Calvary Assembly of God. He lived his life with a spirit of kindness and humility that reflected the values he held dear. Those who knew him understood that to know Bobby was to love him. He was a loving and kind man whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and reassurance to those around him.
Bobby deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and he treated his sons-in-law like sons. He found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved gardening and raising chickens, and he enjoyed spending time outside tending to what he had built with his own hands. He was a big Auburn fan and enjoyed all sports, especially softball and bowling. He also loved watching the Atlanta Braves and was a devoted wrestling fan. His interests reflected his spirited personality and his appreciation for both competition and fellowship.
Bobby will be remembered for his loving heart, his kind nature, and the strength of character that defined his life. He was hardworking, faithful, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. His family and friends will forever carry the memory of his steady guidance, his humor, and the many ways he made life better for those around him. Though he will be greatly missed, his legacy of love, hard work, and family devotion will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Adams officiating. Bobby will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
James Huey Hartzog, Jr., a resident of Clayton, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was 90 years old.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel in Clayton, with Rev. Bob Cox officiating. The burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jr. was born on March 29, 1936, in Barbour County, Alabama, to the late James Huey, Sr. and Callie C. (Brown) Hartzog. He worked all his life as a farmer and a carpenter. Jr. loved sitting outside watching people go by and most times people would stop by for a chat. He also enjoyed hunting. Jr. was of the Methodist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Sherrie McNabb Hartzog; three brothers, Kency Hartzog, Donald Hartzog, and Richard Hartzog; two sisters, Catherine Howerton and Lenora Johnson; brother-in-law, Jerry Mathieu.
Survivors include his two daughters, Margie Cole (Anthony) and Dana James (Keith); brother, Larry Hartzog; sister, Imogene Mathieu; five grandchildren, Julie Harp (Michael), Jesse Jenkins, Sherrie Partee (JJ), Katie James, and Nicholas Cole; brother-in-law, Leon Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Hilda Hartzog and Glenna Hartzog; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; special best friend, William Burks.
