Lula Louise Weeks McCollough of Samson, AL passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was 85 years old.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with her son-in-law, David Zorn officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
Louise was born in Coffee County, AL on November 3, 1939, to the late Leamon and Lizzie Sumblin Weeks. Mrs. McCollough was a faithful member of New Prospect Baptist Church for over 50 years. She served many years as the pianist, Sunday School Teacher, and anywhere else in the church that was needed to help serve the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen McCollough; two brothers, Bill Weeks, and Charles Weeks; two sisters, Annette Spears, and Betty Weeks
She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Zorn (David), Janet Howell (Keith), and Cindy Branch (Jeff); grandchildren, Paige Fountain (Heath), Kayla Free (Gavin), Hayley Miller (Ryan), Cassidy Anthony (Nathan), and Jacob Branch; great-grandchildren, Griffin and Alli Kate Fountain, Finn and Kash Free, and Grayson Miller; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donavan Leonard, a beacon of love and faith, passed away on April 24, 2025, in Gainesville, Florida, at the age of 55. Born on October 22, 1969, in Middleburg, Florida, Donavan’s life was a testament to his unwavering spirit and his dedication to his family and faith.
A graduate of Troy University, Donavan met his soulmate, Devi, and the two were married in 1992. Their journey together was one of unity and growth, as they moved from Jacksonville to Dothan, and later to North Alabama and Mississippi, before returning to Dothan in 2013. Their love was the foundation for a family that grew to include their sons, Kevin Leonard and Kyle Leonard, and their daughter, Contessa Rust, married to Richard Rust. His grandson, River Devereaux, added a new layer of joy to Donavan’s life.
Donavan had a successful professional life in hospital finance and business ownership. He served with diligence and care at hospitals in North Alabama, Mississippi and then at Flowers Hospital, where he remained until 2021. Later, he and Devi owned and operated a successful beach wedding business and currently a property management business on Cape San Blas, FL, providing homes and happiness to many.
Beyond his career, Donavan was a pillar in all communities in which they lived. His passion for leading young people was evident in his coaching sports teams, teaching classes from children’s church to college-age Bible studies, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Donavan’s commitment to Christ deepened several years ago to become a true follower and warrior of the Faith that ignited a passion to share the Gospel with others. Through his efforts, there is an untold number of new believers and growing Christians.
He is remembered fondly by his family, including his wife, Devi Leonard; his children, Kevin Leonard and Contessa (Richard) Rust; his grandson, River Devereaux; his brothers, Steve Leonard and Will (Elle) Leonard; his sister, Karen Smuz; and his nieces and nephews, John (Hannah) Leonard, James Leonard, Abigail Leonard, Colin Robinson, Landon Feggins, Mattie Feggins, Caroline Feggins, David Smuz, Christina Smuz, and Kaitlyn Turner. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Kyle Leonard.
Donavan’s life will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, with Rev. Ray Jones and Rev. Darryl Miller officiating the service. His final resting place will be at Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Donavan at Sunset Funeral Home on the preceding Monday evening from 5-7 pm.
Those who knew Donavan can attest to his warm presence, his friendly demeanor and loving nature. He was faith-filled, embodying the virtues of compassion and kindness throughout his life.
Donavan Leonard’s legacy is one of love, service, and unwavering faith. His impact on his family, friends, and community will continue to resonate for years to come, and his memory will be cherished forever. William Kenneth Campbell, a resident of Louisville, Alabama passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his residence. He was 88 years old.
There are no public services to announce at this time.
William was born on December 29, 1936, in Panama City, Florida to the late Talmadge William and Mattie Lee Dykes Campbell. He obtained an associates degree from Florida State University and worked in the floral design business and taught floral design for many years. He enjoyed working on the farm with his animals and flowers.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, AD Richburg and Horace Richburg; sister, Daisey Lee Richburg.
Survivors include his daughter, Christine Campbell (John Cromer) of Lousiville, Alabama and a grandson, Joshua Emanuel; his two dogs, that he loved dearly, Rocky and Rusty.
TALLAHASSEE, FLORDA. . .Perry Dean Weems, a resident of Tallahassee, Florida, died Thursday morning, April 24, 2025, in the Lake City V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Florida. He was 77.

Perry Weems was born in Abbeville, Alabama and was raised in Haleburg, Alabama and Jacksonville, Florida. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. Perry lived most of his adult lifetime in Tallahassee, Florida. He was retired as an Automobile Salesman with Werner Kia in Tallahassee. He was a member of Killearn Methodist Church in Tallahassee. Perry was preceded in death by his father, Robert Frank Weems, his mother, Jeanne Trawick Weems, his step-mother, Gail Weems, a sister, Jane Mickler, two brothers, Robert Weems, Jr. and Thomas Wayne Weems, a step-sister, Wylene Blair, a step-brother, Orville Harrison, half-brothers, Jackey Lynn Weems and Johnny Ben Kendall.
Surviving relatives include his daughters, Abbie Weems Tyson (Jeremy), Lee, Florida; and Amanda Grace Weems, Tallahassee, FL; a grandson, Wyatt Finch; a brother, Wiley Joe Weems (Tina), Woodville, FL; a step-brother, Allen Harrison (Charlotte), Andalusia, AL; an Aunt, Martha Weems Sanders and the Mother of Perry’s daughters, Benita Bailey, nieces, Alden Smith, Amy Faith, Aneita Shaw, Megan Michaels, Kelsey Kyle and Brandi Chace, a nephew, Sean Weems, numerous cousins who Perry was very close to in Alabama, a special friend and caretaker, Doris Clark of Tallahassee.

GULF SHORES, AL… Pamela Renee Flowers Money, a resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed away from an extended illness on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at her home. She was 69.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend James “Dusty” Gray officiating. Mrs. Money was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Milton Flowers and Doris Farmer Flowers. She lived in Headland, Alabama for childhood and young adult lifetime. She was a 1974 graduate of Headland High School, where she was very active in the NJROTC. In 1973, she was crowned Miss Headland. The following year, in 1974, she held the title of Miss National Peanut. In 1975, she became Miss Alabama USA, placed as 1st Runner-Up at the Miss USA pageant, where she also won the Miss Photogenic award She pursued a successful modeling career for years. She served as the President of the GOP campaign headquarters in Collier County, Florida. She had also lived in Naples, Florida before moving to Gulf Shores, Alabama seven years ago.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Flowers, Jerry Flowers, and Robert Dell Flowers.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her husband, Steve Money, Gulf Shores, AL; her daughter, Laina Posey (Neville), Spanish Fort, AL ; her grandchildren, Bria DeLong, Olivia Posey, Emilia Posey, and Thomas Posey all of Spanish Fort, AL; her sister, Margaret Pitchford of Abbeville, AL; her sisters-in-law, Ruth Flowers, Macon, GA, Sylvia Flowers, Macon, GA, and Donna Flowers, Alexis, IL; her brothers-in-law, Richard Money (Terri), Shane Money (Janet), and Chris Money (Susan) all of Headland, AL; her special nephew, Glen Pitchford (Leisa) of Rehobeth, AL; and her several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deborah “Debbie” Westmoreland Jennings of Samson, Alabama passed away April 17, 2025.
A celebration of life service will be held at Piney Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00pm.
Debbie was born November 23, 1954, in Tryon, North Carolina to the late Ray and Margaret Westmoreland. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Debbie found joy in every situation and saw the good in everyone she met, never once finding fault, only grace.
In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Phillip Dewayne Jennings, one daughter Tonya Jennings, and a brother Junior Westmoreland.
Debbie is survived by three sons, Joe Jennings (Pam), Jeff Jennings and Jason Jennings; seven grandchildren, Kassidy Hester, Karlee Hester, Nate Jennings, Ty Jennings (Bayley), Magen Jennings, Kaden Owens and Sunny Jennings; three great-grandchildren, Rhett Jennings, Warren Messer and Winston Hollobaugh; and a younger brother, Thomas “Tommy” Westmoreland (Jody).
