Charleigh Jo Bennett was born sleeping on January 17, 2026, and entered into eternal peace. Though she never took a breath in this world, her life was precious, and she will always be deeply loved and remembered.
Charleigh Jo is the cherished daughter of Kyle and Mary Bennett. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Sadie, Klayton, and Kash, who will forever hold her in their hearts as their baby sister. She is also loved by many aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
She is survived by her grandparents, Wayne and Susan Bennett, and Nathan and Amanda Gamble. She was named in honor of her great-grandfather, Bobby Joe, whose name she carries with love and meaning. She is also survived by her great grandmother, Cindy “Gigi” Coles.
Charleigh Jo’s life, though brief and silent, leaves an everlasting imprint of love. She will always be remembered, always be loved, and never be forgotten.
A celebration for Charleigh Jo will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 2pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Betty Loraine Young of Slocomb passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the age of 89.
Mrs. Young was born May 17, 1936 in Illinois.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Young, and daughter, JoAnna Busscher.
She is survived by her son, Kelly Young (Stacy), of Slocom, daughter, Lisa Young of Iuka, IL., grandsons, Paul Michael Anderson (Talon) of Salem, IL., Aaron Mitchell Anderson of Slocomb, and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Reed Anderson.
Cherie Lynn Wilson, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Southeast Health Medical Center. She was 62.
Memorial services for Cherie will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Ricky Plummer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church.
Cherie was born March 19, 1963 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Charles and Betty Crawford Griffin. She was in Retail Sales for most of her career but her heart was caring for people and helping out wherever and whenever she could.
Cherie is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenny Griffin.
Survivors include her husband, David Wilson; daughters, Ceresa Michelle Gilley, Shannon Nicole Garcia (Ezekiel); five grandchildren, Kayla Marie Gilley, Kayci Brooke Gilley, Austin Connor Gilley, Hannah Marie Garcia and Thomas Shane Enfinger; six great grandchildren; siblings, Barbara G. Blackstone (James), Pam Woodham (Tony), Bonnie Walstrom, Charles Dale Griffin (Marie) and her special friends, Heather Purswell (Larry), Addyson Sasser, Anthony Sasser, Joely Purswell and Hayden Purswell.
SHORTERVILLE, ALABAMA. . .Nadine Jackson Stiller, a resident of Shorterville, passed away, Friday, December 26, 2025, at her home. She was 77.

Nadine Stiller was born in Baker, Florida and grew up in Northwest Florida, daughter of the late Lenwood Jackson and Bonice Jordan Jackson. She and her family lived in many places across the southeast United States including Gibson, Louisiana and Richland, Georgia before settling in Shorterville. Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, James Marion Stiller, a son, Jerry Stiller, a sister, Sarah Henderson and a brother, Andrew Jackson.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Denice Opp (William Hazboun), Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Glenda Adkison and Patsy Wilkerson, a brother, Len Jackson, grandchildren, Morgan Molina (Mario), and Paige Opp-Hines (Joey); great-grandchildren, Layla Molina and Vincent Molina. She is also survived by many loving members of the Stiller and Jackson families; and special friends, Dr. Ray and Marlene Arnold and other loving and kind neighbors.
