Obituary for Mr. Lane Ringer of Duncan, Arizona (formerly of Abbeville)

Obituary for Mr. Lane Ringer of Duncan, Arizona (formerly of Abbeville)

DUNCAN, ARIZONA…Mr. Lane Ringer, a resident of Duncan, Arizona (formerly of Abbeville, Alabama), died Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Arizona. He was 60.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Autry Barnell officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 P.M. (E.T.) Tuesday in Hillview Annex Cemetery in LaGrange, Georgia. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home in Ozark.

Born on February 22, 1965, in Mobile and raised in Abbeville, Mr. Ringer lived a life marked by determination, resilience, and a deep love for the Lord. He started driving trucks at 21, chasing long highways and long hours with a sense of purpose. In his thirties, he built Ringer Transportation from the ground up—a business that reflected his character: steady, dependable, and honest.

But the road God laid out for him didn’t end with trucking. In 2022, he answered a higher calling and stepped into the ministry. Becoming a preacher wasn’t just a title for him—it was a transformation. He preached with conviction because he had lived through storms and seen firsthand how God can lift a person out of the darkest places. His faith wasn’t something he talked about lightly; it was something he carried, breathed, and shared.

He was a man who could fix anything—cars, appliances, broken parts, and sometimes even broken spirits. He had a gift for stepping into a situation, rolling up his sleeves, and making things better. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he loved them with a tenderness that softened even his toughest days.

While living in Arizona, he became known for something that made people laugh and admire him—he grew a yard full of green grass in the middle of the desert. Where others saw dry land, he saw possibility. That was who he was: someone who brought life where others thought it couldn’t grow.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Ringer, and his sisters, Lena Natalie, Lisa Annette, Paula Janine, and Judith Marie. We rest on the promise that he is now surrounded by them again, held in the arms of his Savior, where there is no more pain, no more labor—only peace.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Michelle C. Ringer, Duncan, Arizona; daughters, Victoria Forguson, Kingston, Oklahoma and Kala Warren (Kevin), Dothan, Alabama; son, Jack Ringer, Dothan, Alabama; mother, Joyce Hancock, Abbeville, Alabama; sister, Laura Kim MacAloney (Daniel), Abbeville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Ashton Forguson, Paisley Forguson, Lena Garcia, and Grayson Gutting; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
